Thanks guys! I didn't get in the finalists, but I reached the top 40% of the submissions, which is decent for this being my first contest. In case you're wondering, I reached 154th place out of 385 participants (which divides into a clean 0.4, or 40%).

Thanks! Actually, the reason I built this was because it was the 4th of July. I took longer to post this, since I was struggling with taking screenshots with shaders on after finishing (Argh, lag...) but my computer got through in the end, lol.
