I just tried Neoforege after doing Fabric mods for about a year and I didn't really like it — just wanted to list some pros and cons of it that I see a mod dev! Hope this helps!

Pros of Neoforge

• Has a built-in config menu for mods
  
• Seems easy to use like fabric
• Has an easy to run template mod for testing it out
• Easy to figure out Gradle runs panel (In VS Code at least)
• Foxes!

Cons of Neoforge vs. fabric
------------------------------------

• Less well known than fabric
• UI can be crowded for many users (might just be me lol)
  
• Lack of docs
• Uncertain future

They are both good modding loaders, but I still prefer fabric for my mods! I love it because it isn't too hard to understand and there are logs of in-depth guides and docs, but Neoforge is a worthy competitor but might also become better than fabric ! Who knows what will happen in the time!
