Drifting at the furthest reaches of known darkness, various Reanimator ships work tirelessly to salvage the souls and the material bodies of derelict ships and their crews. Anything (or anyone) that crosses their path is either swiftly repurposed to the Reanimator's ends or quietly ferried away into an unknown location, deeper within the Far Dark than anyone dares to tread.

While no Reanimated ships are alike in their design, rarely bearing any resemblance due to the varying time periods they fell into the abyss, they all tend to share a common purpose - to recover and convert derelict vessels. Reanimator ships have never been recorded using weapons of any kind, nor approaching any armed or active vessel. The only reports of these vessels are few and far between, seldom detailing any observations not taken from the very limits of sensory range *, so any usable information about them beyond their existence is yet to be discovered.

* Whether that implies that no ship that has engaged them - or perhaps even approached them - has survived has yet to be determined.
