Decades ago an ancient tree was cut down to make sure that everyone had enough firewood to keep their homes warm during the winter. Little did people know that this tree contained the power to keep the ecosystem in balance. Soon, the soil turned barren and the trees withered. Men searched frantically for a solution to stay in their beloved home. Mankind was at the brink of life...but they prevailed. They found a way to restore the cut-down tree's power by supplying it with enough water and building a huge shrine to shelter the remnants of the tree from harm. Once again, the land flourished and the tree stum became a place of pilgrimage, visited by thousands every year.
