What is your favorite Mood?
What are the advantages?
A 'Mood' is an interesting concept, and to understand its advantages it requires you to understand why we use it in the first place, but don't worry. I'll tell you all about it. Well, it all starts with what type of mood you want to provoke? Do you want the viewer to feel sad, happy, emotional, agony, madness, or anger? Well first you need to understand the power of mood provoking color.
Color variations?!
As they say "With great color comes great mood"... Well it's not exactly what they say, but it still works. So as you may have realized in the previous drawings/GIFs give you some kind of inner feeling. Well, it's because all of them have some type of cooperative colors. "And what do you mean by cooperative colors?" says you, well cooperative colors are colors that work together to make a mood, and the most common type of cooperative colors you'll find are 'Warm', and 'Cold' colors. Cold colors mostly consist of blue, green, lime, aqua marine, dark purple, cyan, and dark magenta. On the other hand warm colors mostly consist of red, orange, yellow, yellow-green, red-purple, and rouge. all of these can have their brightness, and contrast edited to fit your context!
Emotional... .. .
Though Some paintings don't need to follow those color patterns to get the emotional outcome they want. Instead they can edit the amount of color in each area of the canvas just like the Image/GIF above, but you may ask "How does this work?". Well, it works when you edit the colors contrast, and brightness to fit the colors around it to make cold colors look warm, and vice versa.
When do I start?!
If you want to make an image/picture/GIF for yourself that has 'Mood' you can first try using some color palettes that fit your context, but if you're feeling lucky you can instead create your own color palette by playing around with colors on any coloring device. Heck, even microsoft paint would work, but all I'm saying is let your imagination go wild, and happy new year!
