Education isn't the most crucial priority in the village ; this has lead to many consequences. Despite having a library, no-one enters it. Nobody can read or write, so it's as useful as a shorn sheep in the Nether. It has also lead to the fates of our fellow citizens, more than what should happen. None that I've witnessed, as they had all occurred before my existence. Until that day. It was one of the driving forces behind my decision to escape with the aid of my friends. It's the most vivid memory of them all.

After a lengthy day of trading and running errands around the town - which is considerably more colossal than the regular person would imagine it to be - I returned home. It isn't much of a home. More of a hovel if you ask me. Constructed of oak wood and cobblestone, two petite floors of yet more wood, with a simple staircase. 3 beds, 1 stove and a single chest of everything we own in the world. Dirt had somehow manage do to sneak in, and had began to form a city of grass on our kitchen floor. It was far from pleasant. 70,000 blocks away from ideal. However, we have to pull our boots up and suck it up. One major emotion rushed around my veins : boredom. I decided I would visit the fishing lagoon ; Dad was constantly going on about having a day there to catch salmon ( which to this day he still hasn't found the time - or his rod ) . Little did I know , this would be the most horrendous period of my life...

'Crunch, crunch , crunch'. Gravel broke under the soles of my feet. Slithers of warmth from the torch tickled my face . It was late. 'Should I return ?' I pondered. I decided I should stay out just a little more. Reflecting back on it, I really should have. I took a swift turn at Mr Cabin's house. The rest is a blur, a haze. I witnessed the glimpse of sage green. I heard the crackle of anger. I heard the beginning of the explosion. Then darkness. No vision. No ability to hear the outside world. All I could hear was the rapid beating of my heart. I was knocked out. Unconscious. Just a limp, square body with a pulse. I wasn't taught anything about basic, yet vital survival skills. The village neglected my need to adventure, everybody's education. They were overprotective, and overly strict. I decided , along with several other factors, I had to leave, my acquaintances who live on the other side of the border being key to my plan. I had to wait though. I was still out cold.
