10. Sneak-if you hold down left shift, other players can't see your name through walls.

9. Camouflage- If you get a really good camouflage skin, it will make it difficult for other players to see you. Try one like this one.

8. Hide in dark caves so that it is more difficult for your enemies to see you.

7. Use far render distance so you can see your enemies from far away.

6. Always carry around lots of building material and a bow so that you can quickly make a tower and shoot your enemies if needed.

5. If in factions pvp, be a faction moderator or higher. That way, you can claim land, and if the other person's faction is not enemy to yours, they will not be able to hurt you in your own land and will be confused. There is also a damage reduction if they are enemies, and they cannot build in your land.

4. Sprint- double tapping w will cause you to sprint, going faster.

2. Carry around flint and steel, water buckets, and/or lava buckets. If you have flint and steel, you can set your enemy on fire. If you have water/lava, then you can run away from your enemy and make an instant and very effective roadblock to slow your enemy down, as they'll have to swim through the water/go around the lava. With multiple buckets, you can create a very effective roadblock that will allow you to escape.
