Well recently a lot of people have been posting threads such as 'What would you like to see in 1.4?' and 'What new things would you add to 1.4?'. Well of course I have no problem in this but the constant re-post of said ideas is very annoying. For instance, the clearly unimplementable ones, unrealistic ones and some that would defeat the point of playing the game hugely. Obsidian tools, of course this is possible and would be quite useful but wouldn't it render diamond tools useless? Never the less if you're to have tools you'll have armour, so the Obsidian armoury is in my opinion pointless. A good idea, but it defeats the point of the game. Now, my least favourite and probably most irritating one, Lapis lazuli armour and tools. First of all, for those of you who don't know, Lapis Lazuli is used for ornamental things, jewellery, necklaces. Hence the reason why it wouldn't be a suitable material for any tool or armour piece. Thirdly, this one isn't so bad, but you have to think of what goes into it. New mobs, worlds and effects all require time and effort, as you can see Mojang are working their butts off trying to please a community, a large number of which with high expectations. I'm not saying it wouldn't be possible, but adding mobs is something that happens over time. Don't expect them to work their magic in a matter of minutes and suddenly have a wonderful game filled with what everyone wants. Not every game can contain what people want, this strongly applies for minecraft. Albeit I would also appreciate things for 1.4, I don't expect to get what I want when I want, Or blame someone for making the game worse which I tend to see a lot of here.
Basically what I'm trying to get across is that you should think about what you're asking for, does it require effort? Would what I'm asking for be ridiculous or too unrealistic to the point where it is utterly stupid?
