A few words about Creativity, and its influence in Minecraft

Creativity. One of the big reasons we all play Minecraft. Because instead of spending countless hours on an online FPS game involving killing people, we have the chance to create our own original thoughts and ideas. I believe Minecraft has the power to influence us into making our own methods, ideas, and creations. Unlike most other games, we can use the ideas we come up with in Minecraft in our everyday life.

We are all a community of Architects, engineers, and idealist. It's great to see what this game has come to be, how it started out as something so simple although grew into something beautiful. Next time you place a block in the world you're making, just know that you have the ability to create your own ideas and makings without anyone else telling you what to do. So while you are just starting now or you have been working for a while, we are all part of the community that has the ability to create their own.

Weather or not you know, creativity is what drives you to want to make something better each time you progress. It is the fundamental element that makes us all different in our own way, and as well bind together. Creativity takes place in our everyday lives; weather its creating a masterpiece, writing a paper, or making a project. Minecraft is in my opinion one of the best games possible to really be creative because there are no rules or boundaries telling us what we can and cannot do, we simply do.


Important questions I have been asked pertaining to Creativity

How can I rank up fast?




If you spend time on a project just to gain experience points to rank up fast, than there is no true purpose to the project. If you want to sell something that everyone will like, you must take time and put effort into it otherwise no one will want it.


I understand just how much we all want to rank up fast, but the whole point of creating a project should be for you to enjoy the time you put into it. Think about it this way; be creative, have fun and take pride in your work, then upload it.

I try to be creative, but I can't come up with anything new. Why?

Whether your just starting out, or you've been crafting for a while, it takes time to develop one's creativity. Creativity is something we all learn over a period of time. For example: if you were given a pen and paper and told to make something amazing in a short amount of time, you could not do it to the best of your abilities. But however, if you had all the time in the world than you would be able to practice, and make something truly remarkable.

For all those musicians out there, like myself, we must practice to get better, and if we don't then we will surely suffer the wrath from out band directors.


Whenever you build something, then you can put that idea in your bag of tricks so that when you come across another project you have previously learned how to improve on it. The big thing is to always strive for improvement, so set goals so that when you reach them you can set higher ones.

How can I be creative?

There is nothing telling you how you can or cannot express your own creativity. That is because creativity is something that comes only from from you, almost in a way making it a part of you. Each person's creativity is unique to them, and that is what makes it so special.

Be proud of what you make, because it is very important to appreciate yourself so you be proud. As I mentioned earlier, it doesn't matter what you create, just have fun and enjoy yourself doing so.

How does one find creativity inside themselves?

The great thing about creativity is that each persons creativity is unique to them. Everyone develops their own way of doing things, which is why there are so many different and amazing minecraft creations. It is great to see the complexity of projects posted on this site because it really portrays how every person can adapt to new techniques through their own creativity. Planet Minecraft, without it's diversities among all the users would be very bland because no one would be able to make a new.


Creativity is not something one should look for, because through out everyone's course in life we take a journey to truly discover ourselves. I know what you have just read sounds like something I just made up, but weather or not you realize it, every struggle or though situation is a quest you take to get a better understanding for yourself.





I have made this blog for anyone who may be having a rough time crafting, or anyone simply wanting to further broaden their own interpretation of Creativity. This blog is a collaboration of things that I, as well as others strugle with every day, and it has been quite the journey getting to the point in time where I now am. My goal is to help and support anyone that is going through a struggle, so if you have any questions or need advise please do not feel afraid to ask.

Recognition of the work I produce is well appreciated, but not required.

The update is finally here! i am sorry it took so long, but I'm sure you will appreciate me work :). Also, I had some complaints about font being to small, spacing not aligned, its ok because I fixed it. For this update:
  • Added new question

  • Added new paragraph to beginning
  • Fixed alignment/ font issues

  • Made corrections to previous paragraphs

You said "A few words about Creativity" but that was 913 words. Would you call that a few? A more accurate title would be "913 words about creativity" or even more accurately, "913 words that I used to state my opinion on the subject of creativity"

There is meant to be a higher meaning to this blog than just 913 words. This blog is centered around the fundamental basics of creativity which inturn, is meant to inspire someone on the way they see it. It saddens me that you didn't even read my blog, not to be harsh but you only saw how the relative title may have been opposite from that of the word count. Please, read my blog, for my hope is that anyone who does may come away with a new perspective of their own creativity.
