The man woke up. He looked around him, everything seemed slightly familiar, as around him was a vast white landscape. He felt his head, and when he brought his hand back he saw blood. He was laying down, face up, on top of the only hill he could see. Nearby lay a ravine of sorts, on closer inspection it was as if some Frisbee had been thrown into it and then taken out.
He stood up, and began walking towards the ravine, all the while attempting to figure out what he was doing here. He peered into the ravine, only to find a bunch of holes leading to some other place just like this. Curious, he walked towards one end of the ravine, and found another person just like him below.
He accidentally chipped off a piece of the floor, which fell and hit the man below on the head. He hid, afraid that the person below him would see him. He then crept towards one end of the ravine, as he did he heard footsteps ahead of him. There was a person just like him walking down that end of the ravine.
After he saw that the person had gone down into the ravine, he stood up and walked down the edge of the ravine. As he did, he felt as if someone was watching him. He didn’t know who, but he could sense it anyway. He walked down into the middle of the ravine, where all the holes were located and as he did a piece of the land hit his head. He looked up, quick enough to catch someone trying to hide from him. He reached the holes, and peered in. There was a landscape exactly like his below, but before he could realize what was happening, he slipped and fell into the hole. He fell on his back and was knocked out cold.
