Wow, okay, ito s been a very long time since Io ve done a blog. But I thought this would be something interesting, that no one has done before. I want to put something to the test. What exactly? Skins. Well, to be more elaborate, teen skins and non-teen skins. To see which is more popular. Now, before we get started, I have to get something straight. This is not a teen skin hate blog. This is an experiment. Science. If I see ANY hate from some teen girl skin maker I will be pretty disappointed, because I just said this is not a hate blog. Thank you very much, and have a nice day. Well, looking at how the popular reel is now; there are about 5 teen skins on it every day. But there are 18 slots on the skin reel, so it doesno t sound that bad. Normally the rest of the skins are normal. So, only 28% of the popular reel is teen skins, and the other 72% is non-teen skins. But does that define how popular they get? Well obviously they are, but they could be more popular than all the other skins on the reel at the time combined. My test is to show which skin is more popular than the other. The two top skins on the o Whato s Hoto list right now (this was a couple days ago) is a teen girl skin and a super hero skin. The girl skin has 43 diamonds and 292 views. The superhero skin has 29 diamonds and 231 views. So, if that were true for all skins, the teen skins will be more popular. So, I have come to the conclusion that I think the teen skin will be more popular than the non-teen skin.
I will be making two skins. One a generic teen girl, and the second a Link skin, which are fairly popular ideas. I will post them both at the same time and record how many diamonds and views they each have every hour, for 12 hours. Except there will be a twist. I will advertise them in chat for an hour each, seeing as people tends to advertise there. After I have the data I will set it up in a graph to compare the results, and then proceed to form a conclusion.
Now ito s time to form a conclusion from the data we collected! Now, ito s not really that straightforward, so let's analyse it. First we will look at the results itself. From what we can see, the non-teen skin got less diamonds and views than the teen skin overall. But they wereno t too far from each other. But, the averages tell a different story. So I averaged out the diamonds and views and found that a non-teen skin will have about 11 diamonds, when a teen skin has about 12 in the timespan of 12 hours. But, the non-teen skin will have about 103 views and the teen skin 97. Thato s if they get on the reel of course. So, if we look at it that way, our conclusion could be that teen skins will get less views and more diamonds, because the people who view them are more generous, and more people will view non-teen skins, but they will not have as many diamonds as teen skins.
But weo re not done. We are now going to take a look at the hours when the skins were advertised in chat. The non-teen skin gained 6 diamonds between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, and got 39 views. The teen skin got 3 diamonds between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, and gained 14 views. Both of the skins were advertised and equal amount of times, so this shows that people in chat tend to favor non teen skins over teen skins. So if you are thinking about advertising a teen skin in chat, you wono t be as successful as someone who is advertising a non-teen skin. So, if we look at it this way, the non-teen skin is more popular than the teen skin.
Still not quite done. Now we are going to look at the times the skins got on the reel. The non-teen skin got on the reel at about 9:40 am, 40 minutes after it was posted, and still being advertised. The teen skin got on the reel at about 1:15 pm. That is 5 hours and 15 minutes, even after it was advertised. If we look at what it takes to get on the popular reel for skinning, you need to get lots of diamonds and views right after posting to get on it almost instantly. Or, you could get lots of views in a few hours and also get on it. I dono t know the exact equation or requirements to get on the popular reel, so Io m just using past experience to get a rough idea of what it takes to get on the reel. So, if we look at the results that way, the non-teen skin is more popular.
Now, time to look at the graphs. First we will look at the one with views. As you can see, the non-teen skin was off to a good start with a moderate acceleration, and then slowing down at 4:00 pm and was overtaken by the teen skin. The teen skin was off to a bad start, but started picking up the pace at 4:00 pm then slowing down to almost meet the non-teen skino s graph at 9:00 pm. Now, this was graphed from the data on the graph, so our conclusion will be similar. But the non-teen skin was overtaking the teen skin for a long time, so I guess we could say that the non-teen skin is more popular than the teen skin. Looking at the graph with the diamonds now, the non-teen skin was off to a good start, and then slowed down to a slower pace, and being overtaken by the teen skin at 2:00 pm. The teen skin didno t start off very well, but gained lots of diamonds between 1:00pm and 2:00 pm, then slowing to a steadier pace like the non-teen skin. So, the teen skin was definitely more popular if we look at diamonds.
Well, time to form an overall conclusion! So, if the teen skin will have more diamonds, and the non-teen skin has more views, the non-teen skin was more popular when it came to advertising, when it comes to getting on the reel the non-teen skin was more popular, and the non-teen skin did better on the views graph, but the teen skin did better on the diamonds graph. So, the ratio of o winso is 4:2, the o winnero being the non-teen skin. So, my hypothesis was wrong, and in conclusion non teen skins are more popular than teen skins.
