So Minecraft all and all is a great game and has many things great about it. When I do extensive research to find what aspects of the game people really dislikes, there is not one or a few things people just really not like. Well that's why I am here and I am going to talk about my dislikes as well as a survey I have conducted on 20 different v1.8 Faction PvP servers.

First lets start with the survey:

26% - Lack of Items - 26 percent of people strongly believed that Minecraft was descending into a item diversity depression. They often said that it is true that there are many different variants of blocks per block category (Wood > Oak, Spruce, etc.), but there are not many different types of blocks (Wood > Clay, Diamond, Beef). They believed that when an update came out, that the developers should design an item or a block that is especially unique. (Like a cloud block!)

18% - Lack of Story - These people made the smallest proportion of the survey (for whom I belong to). These people were extremely enthusiastic about their choice because they were dead set that this was the biggest problem Minecraft faces. Unlike todays AAA games (COD, Battlefield 4, etc.), Minecraft does not have a broad story line. Of course they have an absolutely unique one that combines the main mission with miscellaneous creativity, but they don't expand on it. After killing the End Dragon, the whole story line is over! Done! Zip! That's it! Instead these people believed that they should expand on the storyline every update.

33% - Lack of Entities - These people chose to have more entities (monsters, animals). I found this interesting as it became the most popular choice among the rest. I honestly thought it would be the least chosen. These people wanted more monsters and animals that had very interesting drops that could effect the gameplay of Minecraft in many ways significantly. Of course they appreciated the recent 1.8 add of rabbits and Endermites, but their drops were very impotent.

23% - Graphical Configurations - These people were interested in seeing the shape of blocks and it's visual aspect changing. Chances are these people were getting real tired of seeing cube after cube after cube. They were tired of having to rely on high definition texture packs to make the game amusing. They wanted to see things take different form and maybe a touch of realistic physics.

Out of all those topics (which I am sure there are more) I had to go with "Lack of Story". Now I love my story line. It's like reading a comic or watching a movie. It adds some mystery and thought to the game. I believe It will make the game 100x more controversial. Anyways that's my survey I have conducted throughout this week and my unbiased opinion on what bothers me the most about Minecraft and what should be changed.

Thank you! Please fill out my poll and leave a Diamond or a favorite. Also check out my new server, Land of Chander!

-DarkAssassin-, thank you for your response on this poll. You are the first one to have this point of view on Minecraft. This poll was for people to choose what option they believed was most lacking in Minecraft not what it lacking in Minecraft. As much as i am appreciative of your response I apologize this topic hit a soft spot for you. Next time I create a blog I will take special consideration for people that might feel defensive oer the topic. I am sorry you "%100 disagree with all of [my] blogs", but I have only posted 2. i have posted this one and an event that happened to me that I thought might be interesting to others. Anyways thanks for reading, and I am sorry for offending you in any way. Please check out my new server! You seem like a great contributor to communities. I hope the server won't offend you too.
Thank you!

To begin, I disagree with the belief that there are few items in Minecraft. You have to look at this from Mojang's angle. Minecraft started out as Creative only. As the game went through it's Beta and Alpha stages, Mojang (or just Markus Persson) began to believe that the game was becoming dull. So they added Survival. In Survival mode, they didn't want to add an overabundance of items. I myself wouldn't add a large amount of items to a game. I would only add what I see as necessary. Furthermore, Notch stated that the game didn't need a story. The point of Minecraft is to create your own story. There's no need for a story except the one you make. If you or anyone else doesn't have the creativity and imagination to create a story, then I suggest you pick up on a new game. Lack of entities? There's enough of those for now. Plus, you have to think. Mojang can't just place a new entity into the game just like that *Snaps fingers*. It takes work to create an entity. Graphical configurations? There's a mod for that. Out of all the topics you placed on this blog, I 100% disagree with all of them. Thank you for reading.
