Now, I will introduce part 4 of A Tale of Darkness. Read the other parts BEFORE this. So now, here we go.

Finally, after riding for 2 days, I found my friends. When they spotted me, they all started screaming, and hugging me.

“Where were you?”

“Are you ok?”

“Why do you look so sad?”

“Did you nearly die?”

I didn’t answer any of them, and I said, “We need to kill Nak-”

And then, the hooded figure appeared. I didn’t realize who he was, until I realized he was the skeleton who had saved my life. He was the one who knew how to use magic? All of the sudden, he grabbed me and pulled me into darkness

I groaned as I woke into a pure white dimension. It was just me and the skeleton.

“Today,” he said, “We will focus on sword techniques.”

“W-what about my magic I need to learn ab-bout?”

“That is for later.” “Now, let me teach you some sword tricks.” “If your enemy is heavily armed in the front, and you cannot get to the back, this is what you do.”

He jumped to the side, rolled, and tapped my back lightly with the flat of his blade.

“That is a back slice,” he said, “Jump to the side, roll, and slash to their vulnerable backside.” “If your enemy is too aggressive or too fast,” he said, “Then shield bash them.” He lept at me and hit me with his shield, “Then flip over them.” He flipped over me, tapped my head with the flat of his sword in midair, then tapped the side of my head while he was behind me. “That’s a helm splitter,” he said. Then, he sheathed his blade. I charged him, then all the sudden, he charged me incredibly fast, and put his sword right next to my head.

“That’s a mortal draw,” he said, “but your enemy will see through your trick if you don’t do it right, and the slightest delay will cost your life.” “Now, show me you are worthy of the Glow Sword!”

We banged swords together, and began dueling. I swung and swung, but he was just too fast for my pace. He countered every one of my moves so fast, I couldn’t keep up with him.

“You need to improve your speed, Drakonith.” “Enemies will hit you without trying to hit you.”

I sighed at his comment, and I swung and attacked as much as I could. I cried out, jumped in the air, and stabbed him.

“Now that,” he said, “was quite a devastating attack.” “That is one skill that will get you far in an uncaring world that rewards the strong and punishes the weak.” “Now show your enemies your skills!”

With that he started disappearing.

“Wait, don't leave!” I called

“Do not neglect your skills…” He said, “As you will need them…

I was back in the dark realm, all of my friends looking around me startled.

“Dude,” Ares said, “Where were you for like two minutes ?”

I knew right away that somehow, when I was in who knows where, I was only gone for two minutes, despite how long it felt. I grumbled a response, got up, and suddenly heard a cry behind the building we were hiding behind. I ran over and saw Dijji and Farore getting their butts kicked by a suit of armor with a shield and mace. Farore and Dijji were backed into a corner.

“H-hey Farore?” Dijji said, “Can I say something before we die?”

“What?” Farore said.

“T-that I l-liked you si-since 5th grade.”

Then Farore said the saddest thing I could possibly imagine: “No, I don’t like you.” “I like (drum roll) Ares!”

My friend Ares looked shocked at what she said.

“You will tell her you like her,” I said, trying to hypnotize him jokingly.

He sighed.

“Well,” I yelled, “I’m taking out the armor!”

I charged the suit of armor, not realizing he was harder than I thought…

Right when he was about to strike Dijji, I parried his mace.

“Drakonith,” Dijji said, “Why the F**k are you here?”

But I didn’t answer him. I grunted as I parried the armor’s mace again.

“Both of you, get out of here!”

They nodded and took off as I faced the armor. Suddenly, the glow sword… well, glowed. I swung it much harder than it should have, but even then the knight’s armor deflected it without effort. Then I remembered from the skeleton what to do if the opponent seems invincible. I drew my sword, and performed a helm splitter. I jumped into the air, knocked off the creature’s helmet, then turned around and struck his head with my sword. He yelled,

“Argh.” “AAAAAHHHHH!!!”

Then he went POOF! And disappeared. I was a little sad because I wanted that armor of his. Everyone was wide-eyed and shocked that I could take down such a strong enemy with almost no effort at all. Although I wondered if our paths would cross with Dijji and Farore again…
