This short story takes place in the events before Three Decades' Civil War, explaining the tale of an assassin who managed to speed up the fall of State of Amelia with the death of Queen Amelia.

Unbeknownst to the rest of Amelia, the Empire had a huge retinue of spies and informers everywhere long since the fall of Abraxis. The victory against Forvisat only cemented their hold.
Bribes were offered, assassinations attempted, and their intelligence network kept growing in strength. Every attempt to quell only empowers them. Once again, they have no qualms about their actions.
Among the populace, thoughts about overthrowing the current ruler of Amelia were raised. But no one dared to make a move toward her, as they feared the consequences. Except one of course, but he too will have to accept outside aid. Not so feasible to commit that act without enough preparations, perhaps.
And so comes the story of one such person, whose actions will have massive ramifications to the continent of Amelia itself...
- So you have come. Hmph. Very well.
- We have no grudges with each other, but you must abdicate for your own sake.
- As I have already said before, never! Power is all I seek. The ancient dynasty of Abraxis shall not fade into history!
- So, you’re the last of his bloodline, huh? No wonder people wanted the likes of you. A figurehead is all they need.
- Then come! Cast me down! You'll find that I'm no mere queen!
We were wrong. The queen was even more formidable then we had expected. She might have been past her zenith, but her powers didn’t.
One of us got disintegrated.
The moment she used the Stone of Royalty, we knew an opportunity to vanquish her once and for all.
- A soulstone is in place. If you can cover me long enough, I shall activate it and seal her avatar. Then our enchanted sword shall steal her lifeforce!

The soulstone indeed has done its job. Queen Amelia's form got destroyed, her powers stripped away...
A cursed rapier makes short work of her, and the last bloodline of Abraxis dynasty is no more.
- My Queen. We have a report you need to see… Hold on.
And the former Prime Minister lays dead, her mind having been shocked with the horror in front of her.
