Map Making Progression, and Future

Does anyone else remember back in the day when you were given a message written in blocks in front of you? Or when adventures would take 15-20 minutes, tops?? Look back and think about what has become of adventure maps in minecraft.
First we were given book and quill. At the time this was a HUGE leap for map creators. Being able to write messages and story plot for the player without spelling it out in blocks. Now with an even bigger leap, comes a block that can give items, whisper or shout messges, set your spawn point, deduct xp, change time of day, ectera.  This one block can do almost anything a map maker can imagine!  Creators should utalize these to their full advantage.  Create an xp shop in vanilla minecraft! Its a lot simplier than you think...
Next, the time paramiter.  When adventure maps were first developing, some were producing maps that took almost no time at all to complete.  Now, take Shadows of Israphale for example. It's takes like 100 hours to complete!! There is no need for the 15 minute adventure maps anymore.  Map makers should take pride in their projects, and put in a lot of time on them, so that the player can get the most out of it.
Lastly, and this is a small matter, there is a game mode for adventure maps for those of you who are unaware.  Map makers use to have to trust that the adventurer would not break anything. Since there is a gamemode for adventure maps now, utalize it!! if there is a part where the player need to break something, have a trip wire switch it into survival with a command block without the player knowing and then switch it back!
So to sum up, we have come a long way, and the future of adventure maps will be ever changing.  There should be no more book and quil instructions, or extreamly short maps.  USE WHAT MOJANG HAS GIVEN US!!!!! They have given us the tools, and we must push the boundaries of map making even further! Carry on the legacy of map making and take it to the next level. Who's with me!?
