So, I found an awesome thing to do. I have been looking for some techy projects to do this summer, and I came across one to control a computer using a wii numchuck. It puts out signals that are a compatible format for an Arduino chip. Also, there was code available for a Python script could read information from the serial port. Technical details aside, this made an amazing controller for playing Minecraft! I reconfigured some of the events so that the stick controlled movement, and the tilt looked around. Although it is not as accurate, and the response speed is slower, I have a lot of fun messing around with it.
Anyway, I greatly encourage people to make their own improvised controllers as it is a lot of fun.
Happy hacking!
