An Epic Rant, long time in coming

This shall be a general rant on basic rudeness on PMC. If you feel like you're being targetted... well, yeah, you probably are. And I'm not sorry, so don't ask for an apology cuz I'll just jump up and down on your head with my spike-heel boots.

ANYHOW.

WHAT is UP with people on PMC these days? Is it age? Are we just getting younger and younger members who don't know how to behave in reasonably polite company? I don't mind teasing, but people are just being VICIOUS, especially to new users, for no reason WHATSOEVER.

If you're being introduced to someone new (at work, at school) is the first thing you say to them, "LOL, you're not really a girl, you're some dude in drag." Or "That's not your real face, you stole that from someone else you n00b." Or "U suck. I've been to your house and you kicked me out, F u man, just cuz I was being a jerk and trashing the place, and now you won't let me back in."

I have seen SO MANY troll posts, SO MANY insults, SO MANY people slamming each other. What I don't get is why?

I have asked for (and hope to receive) a special section of PMC called the Kiddie Room. If people keep acting like children, I will DEMOTE them so that the only place they can "play" is the Kiddie Room. There will be a special place for them to post their (stolen, solid-colour, mixed, general rip-off) skins, texturepacks, and mods, and none of the posts will earn xp. Only other members of the kiddie room will be able to see them and their posts. Out of sight, out of mind.

At least... this is my dream.

The whole point of PMC was to set a higher standard than the Minecraft Forums. We wanted integrity in our uploads section, meaning no stolen content, and hopefully higher-quality content. We wanted a friendly forum that is honestly moderated, keeping the trolling to minimum, and the atmosphere welcoming and engaging. This isn't happening. I can't keep up with the sheer volume of negativity out there in our forums, MY forums... (I know, I know Cyprezz, they're YOUR forums, but I live here too, and I don't like it when people track crap onto the carpets, ok?) Our forum mods can't keep up with it. It's overwhelming.

Things in particular that are seriously PISSING ME OFF (and I don't say that lightly) are people joining up, introducing themselves and getting jumped all over. Maybe they're girls and they've said so... and instantly, they're trolled. Maybe they're NOT girls, and they've said they are. Who the hell cares? How does it affect the TROLLS in any way if they've got boy parts instead of girl parts? Are you worried you're going to mistakenly hit on a GUY instead of a girl? OHMIGOD, that means... a TROLL has been TROLLED! I don't feel sorry for you, you drooling, incoherent troglodytes. Suck it up and look for a girl in the REAL world. Secondly, I'm SICK of the whiny, attention-whoring posts... "nobody loves me, nobody comments on me, I'm LEAVING PMC." GOOD. GO. HAVE A NICE DAY. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out! I'm not HERE to pay attention to you, ask your mommy and daddy for attention if that's what you need. I'm ALSO tired of reading absolutely pointless posts begging for help that could be found by typing two words into a search engine. Try Google. It's very good. I'm sick of doing your homework for you. OH! And spelling... I'm aware that many of our users don't speak English as their first language. I understand grammar mistakes. But there is NO excuse for the utter garbage that gets posted on a regular basis. If you can't type and include all the letters in a word, maybe you shouldn't be contributing to a forum. If you're so dyslexic that your posts are impossible to read by anyone, try using a voice-dictation program, for the sake of our sanity. USE A SPELL CHECKER FOR GODS' SAKE. And FINALLY... PEOPLE WHO AIR THEIR DIRTY LAUNDRY in our forums. CUT IT THE HELL OUT. I don't give a hot damn if so and so made you feel sad on your server. It's NOT our problem. If you have a personal issue with ANYONE on these boards, WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. Take it to PM, or, preferably OFF OUR FORUMS ENTIRELY.

There. Rude enough for you? I certainly hope so, it should speak the language of many of the people who've been irritating the hell out of me. For the rest of you... Mama loves you. Have a cookie.
