Yes he stands there looking out the window as if he should be outside. But he does not understand that we both are dogs that live in a big city near a highway. He does not understand that cars are dangerous. He does not understand much. I understand alot more than him or that cat named Cheesy. Yes he is my brother but still he looks out that window as if I am not there. His name is Flamer. A young dog who is just not smart. My name is Loner. I am a quiet dog who is wise but still wonders some things.

Time. He sits there all day looking out that window. All he thinks about is outside. I don't know why he wants to go out there..

He knows how it is. He is not allowed to be out there. He wonders about our sister Lacey. He wonders about our other brother, Fruity Boi. I know that one of them we will never see again. Or so I thought. Flamer. He just sits there. I don't know what to say or do. Because all he does is look out that window.

A few days later some noise almost the same as Cheesy's meow enters my ears. Another cat? Yes. His name is fire. Flamer loves that cat now. He just thinks that fire is a perfect cat.

But one day something changed. Flamer did not look out the window. He looked out the door. And that stupid cat, Fire. He jumped up at a string that was tied onto the door handle and yep it opened. Flamer bolted outside before the cat could even look. That dumb cat stayed inside like nothing ever happened. I bolted after my brother. He ran across the street. And nearly got hit. I ran after him. Bad idea. My tail hit a car my accident banging it again the car. I yelped and ran after my brother. He didn't stop. He was so foolish. I knew when I saw the truck. I just knew. The truck stoped. A man got out and grabbed both of us and threw us in. That was the last time we would see cheesy or fire. My brother was so stupid. He did this to both of us. But there standing next to us, Lacey. She knew it was us. She was a very smart dog and had a plan to get out of the truck and run away. The plan was to bang against the truck until the guy got out and looked to see what was causing the noise. Then we would jump out and run far. We tried. He didn't come out. But we heard something. A huge crashing sound. Then the truck tipped to its side. The guy got out and said "WHAT YOU THINK YOU DOING DUDE! YOU GOT IN MY WAY AND NOW LOOK AT MY TRUCK!!"
A man came out of his house to help the guy. He opened the back of the truck and we ran. I don't know what happened to the guy after that. We came to a area with a few dumpsters. That is where we met Wally. A street dog who was very happy. He showed us around his dumpster. Trash. Food. Paper. And that was our life for 3 days. Later we traveled with Wally until we finally got out of the city. Yep country land. Fields. Cows. Birds. Trees. Flamer decided to chase a cow. Bad idea. It chased him. We roamed around the fields for weeks. It seemed like our new life.
But one day our life changed. That was when we ventured too far. Now we were roaming the forests. The forest was very big. A small village up ahead caught my eye. We decided to go there. It wasn't a rich town. It was a pretty poor town. But there were trashcans with food and stuff. We didn't like it here. Flamer loved it though. He would run around stealing food and dumping over trash cans and chasing people. After a while we left the town but we remembered it well. We had had fun there. It started to rain. The ground was wet. We finally got to a warm forest with trees surrounding the area. A tall tree stood in the center of the forest. It started to thunder. A streak of light sprang through the air and hit the tree shocking the whole thing. It fell with a loud crash as we ran away. The rain continued and didn't seem to stop. The next day the rain was gone. We saw a beach ahead. And another dog. She stood on the beach looking at us all. Flamer ran up to her because he seemed to like her.
Her name was Summer.
