I use Hypercam 2, and there is not a problem with it.
And everyone has there own way of choosing a recorder.
Like most popular game people like 'CaptainSparklez, TheSyndicateProject, AntVenom, IHasCupQuake, etc' I think most of them use Fraps, because they have special made / bought computers that can handle good quality.
