Best HD render settings for YouTube 2012
Works for Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Sony Vegas Pro, Final Cut Pro, Nuke, Camtasia + more.

My name is Tiger. I have so far uploaded videos to YouTube for several years. I've always taken quality seriously and I've really tried to learn myself all these advanced settings. With help from forums and professional video-creators, I've made a great render setting-template, specifically for YouTube. It's also very good for other sites like Vimeo, Facebook and so on.

The key is to match YouTube's compression as close as possible, which I do in this tutorial. I also try to explain to you what these different settings are and how they will affect the clip. Please enjoy this tutorial and if you like my content so far, why not subscribe and get notifications when I upload more videos. :)

Hello
This may be a nooby question.
So you see, you have this front picture on this submission on PMC, but how do you get that picture to show up on the You Tube film screen? I have tried many ways, but i always fail.....

And the another question, Do you recommend to edit Videos with Sony Vegas pro 11?

You need to be an YouTube partner to customize your video thumbnails on YouTube. That is the only way.

I don't use Sony Vegas. I did, but after some time I decided to upgrade to Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. Sony Vegas is a great video editing program, but it doesn't have as many tools and possibilities as After Effects. Premiere Pro is more close to Sony Vegas.

It all depends on what you want to do. If you seek more advanced editing ad more control over the video image, I'd suggest you to learn After Effects and combine this with Premiere Pro. They both work great together.

If you just want to color edit with some neat effects, synced to music, continue to use Sony Vegas.

I'm using Fraps, and that's not free. I think Camtasia's recorder is good. You could try it :)

Camtasia is a video-editing program and capture program. It's free:

Fraps is free, Camtasia isn't.

Opposite. You can download a free trial from Fraps official webpage (includes their watermark logo imprinted on ever clip you make). Camtasia works the same way, just without the watermark logo on their trials, and you can download as many trials you want.

Lol, love all the comments saying it shouldn't be here. You'd think they'd read the rules before posting that. I'm not a Youtube uploader myself, but telling from Rouge's comment, this blog helps. So diamond for that. :)
