Before I start, I want to thank all of you so much for the support you guys have given me through blogs such as why you should diamond other's work, slanderman and show some respect. Without you, I would not have made it this far in my blogging career. This not the beginning of the end, this is the end of the beginning. Thank's guys!
Bigger Community - Badder Community
So when I joined PMC, it was what you could say 'undeveloped.' It was small, loveable, and nonetheless awesome. PMC is still awesome, but it has grown, more trolls have come, more spambots have come. I strongly believe that a bigger community is good, but it does have to have it's precautions.
Users Come and Go All the Time!
Many people are complaining on PMC because users such as DinowCookie have left. Users leave all the time for their own reasons. You can guarantee a new user will come to replace them, if not, you might be the new famous person, out there, with their name all over PMC. You never know when time strikes.
More new active users come than old active users leaving, therefore increasing the size of this already massive community. With massive numbers, there will be more site lag, more trolls and simply more spam. Let's talk about the blog section. People used to have decent blogs all the time, but since new users have come, spam just gets more and more frequent.
Moderators need to get more strict with more people, and more expectations. Blog rules used to be 'write something not spam.' Now, you can only write a Minecraft related blog which must be very decent, with no application forms or anything that may make somebody even the slightest bit heated. These rules were put in place to stop spam.
PMC's Legacy
A legacy definitely has been created on PMC. Old users have influenced new users in a way that I seriously cannot explain. PMC is one of those sites where past actions influence the users of the future. Looking back on the site now, it has changed allot, because of the actions of possibly even 1 person.
Sorry for the short blog, but I sure hope I get a point out. PMC will stay alive forever, as long as somebody believes in it, and as long as somebody uses it. No matter how many users have left, will leave, and will come, PMC will always be a great community.
