Hey guys! Waffles here! Just before I begin, I would like to say sorry for my inactivity. I had exams, but I got a 2 week holiday in a day, so I will be REALLY active then! :) Now, on with the topic...
Today, I'm talking about Blogging as a whole. Now, as I am aware that I have blogs similiar to this, there are things I would like to touch apon. I think blogging is one of the most important parts of Planet Minecraft and Minecraft as a whole. It allows players to talk about subjects that others can relate to, however controversial they are. It also allows people to let off steam and talk about what they have on their mind (especially in rants!). But most importantly, it allows people who aren't amazing at coding or building to actually make something of theirselves.
As I have made a blog about before, the blog section of PMC generally has a mixed reception. Blogs that actually have time, effort care put into them are balanced out by mob interviews, begging for donations, 10 word tutorials and so on. I wish that people would actually look on the positive side of the section rather then just the bad side. Sure, we are all sick of that "Steve pushing skeleton into ravine" picture on blogs, but maybe if we look at the actual good ones, you will change your mind.
I think the reason why the section is like this is because blogging is easy to do. I mean, you want be seeing 6 year olds making bad mods and putting them up, will you? There's a difference between typing up some story or paragraph and posting it and actually thinking about the topic at hand and making it look appealing as well as presentable.
To sum up, I guess what I'm trying to say is that blogging should be taken seriously, along side the other sections of the site. Whilst they might be the easiest to do, they allow us to say what we wanna say. So ya know.. #freespeech.
That's it really! I might post something later, but chances are that I won't post anything 'till tomorrow night. Also, I am getting nearer to 100 subscribers. Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported me since I joined last christmas. You guys rock!
