Well, I want to write this as one of my shorter blogs about writing on pmc. I want to revisit the topic of the blog section, which is where I "work" on pmc and how I feel as a community the blogging section is like a crumbling building.
It is currently 10.26pm and I have had a long day so please excuse bad grammar, I may get around to fixing it, it is also freezing cold.
Well. I have been part of the blogging community for some time, and I have felt that this is the most creative part, for some time. But my beliefs about the blogs section are changing. As pmc has grown I feel the blogs section has become an abused old library of anything deserving xp but doesn't fit into any other category.
I have posted a lot of high quality blogs, which, have unfortunately been ignored to things which shouldn't have been in the blogs section (such as shops and series'), artwork and time wasting regurgitated blogs. Sure you will see a beautiful blog by other bloggers like Jetra and such from time to time, but you don't always get to see things such as that on the blogs pop reel. You may be asking, why not? Well, a blog takes time to write. A blog needs to come to your head and you need to write a moralistic article or such about it. It takes time and emotion, blogging is a lot harder job than most think, and you have to be born with the talent to write. It isn't something that comes by practice. Sure, you can improve, but a sophisticated and interesting style of writing cannot be learnt. It has to be understood. It is a strange beast writing is, but unfortunately our blog section does not have that beautiful writing anymore, or so I believe.
With new rules coming into place, such as blogs have to be related to pmc/mc and such, means a lot of the better bloggers will not have their platforms. When the blogs section was at its peak, probably during last year, blogs came in different types and styles. Bloggers uploaded very detailed and interesting stories about events, people talked about issues in society and took deep dives into things people would not normally have the guts to talk about. But now, as pmc has developed, we have unfortunately lost this freedom. We now have Minecraft and pmc as our platform for writing, which I have never found a worthwhile platform as I am not interested in minecraft all that much, I primarily play other games such as Battlefield, Dota and other games which are no where near what Minecraft is. I am looking for new experiences in games and the world, and I wish to share these, and so do most bloggers, but most bloggers cannot now share these experiences unfortunately, which has limited our writing possibilities by probably about 400%.
Why do I care? Why should you care? Well, a blog is an article of writing about something which someone may have experienced or wish to talk about. And so, if someone wishes to talk about these things, others should read, and unfortunately there are not many unique experiences to talk about, which is why pmc's blog section is being overrun with art and regurgitated information, which is not cool in many people's eyes. I want new unique blogs about exciting things.
Well, there is a way of fixing this sort of thing. We could remove all art and such into a new section, but unfortunately that would put more wait on the site moderators and on paril as he would have to work on creating a new section as well and incorporate it into the pop reel. It would be nothing but pain for moderators, but it would benefit the blog section highly. The only other option would be to move art and such to the forums, which I think is unfair. A lot of art is worthwhile and can be better than a lot of regurgitated blogs.
Well, thank you for taking the time to read. I should be having a series of blogs up soon talking about morals, pmc and how they are used or misused. Also be sure to check out my new shop .
