I stared into the swirling snow. The snow was not white as it should be. Nothing was as it should be. It was blood red, and the girl bleeding to death next to me was my world ending. I knew it was all over. Hands stained with her blood, I gathered up my mixed feelings on what I had done. The snow was still swishing around me, and I walked in a trance like state to the river. She deserved it. She didn’t. did she?





The river was ice, but smashing the ice and wading into the river had been a good idea. The pain almost evaporated, almost. The numbness and sorrow I felt never left. I could still feel the loneliness, the pain, the heart break. It was still there





“TAKE ME AWAY FROM HERE!” I screamed into the snowy night. The stars twinkled in the veil of the distant night.





A voice shivered through the white, and caused me the pure agony I had known only once before.





“I still love you…”





The water froze around me and I wondered if they would think that I killed her. I realized my world was ending and screamed out the pain for the last time. The sound frightened the birds, scaring off everything, as it should. No one would ever understand, ever! I’m glad I’m leaving. I couldn’t move, my body frozen to the sparkling river of ice.





“I… I do too?” I replied with my last breath. Her hair was beautiful, frozen into the river. Stained with blood.
