I sat, quiet. The tears on my face were dry. I held the picture in my hands.
I watched as the world around me slowly faded. I tightned my grip on the picture before it faded away too.
I stood after a while, turning slowly. The room I was in was now white, with a door.
I walked towards it, not caring what it would do.
I opened it and shut my eyes as a bright light flashed, I soon opened my eyes, to see the house where I woke up in.
"Is this real? Or is it another illusion?"
"Its real..." Axel spoke in a quiet voice, he almost seemed hurt.
I turned to see him sitting on a bench, in a farther corner of the room. I walked over to him and sat beside him. "I'm sorry, Axel. I- .. I'm really sorry I yelled at you..."
I stared at the ground, feeling horrible. I can't believe I yelled at my best friend because he was moving. I let out a heavy sigh.
"I-" I was quickly cut off by Axel.
"Don't be sorry. We can't change what is in the past now. If we did, who knows what would happen.."
I sat, silently for a while. The reason why the earth was apocalypsed was because we were teleported through time.
Strong magic was used, and everything man-made collapsed on itself.
I stood up, angry. "How does that make sense though!?-" I sighed, realising I yelled at myself. I sat back down, embarassed. I let out another heavy sigh. "Sorry- I.." I couldn't figure out what else to say. But I knew one way to get out of this, possibly change the past, without hurting anyone. I didn't know how though. I didn't have any powers that I knew of, no magical items.
Nothing. I had to figure out a way. I will figure out a way. I'll make sure to save him, and everyone else. I just hope I'm not making a mistake.
Not long after that, I was asleep. I was tired from thinking and all of the confusing events that had happened.

I blinked a couple of times, stumbling slightly.
I glanced around, worried and scared. I didn't know what was going on.
It seemed like I was traveling through time, scenes were passing passed me at an un-believeable speed.
The scenes finally slowed down to a scene, it was a real scene. I could hear birds, and smell flowers. I could feel the cool, spring wind against my side, I could even touch the trees that I saw around me. I leaned over, picking up a leaf off the ground.
I turned as I heard laughter. My face went blank, I saw myself, and Axel, he was there too!
We were sitting in a sandbox, laughing. It looked like we were about.. 5 or 6.
We were making sand castles, laughing and talking about living in a castle, and playing with as many toys as we wanted to.
I smiled, tears in my eyes. Suddenly, I watched as the scene faded into another. We were older, about 11. We were standing in a bedroom, a red carpet on the floor, shelves covered in books and plushies. I saw myself sitting on a bed with a grey and black sheet. I seemed angry, My young self got up, yelling. "Why though?! Why are you leaving me! Moving away?? You told me a day before you have to move!"
"I-I'm sorry Star- really.. I-I was busy-" My young self cut young-Axel off.
"You were too busy to tell your friend!?"
Axel looked walked out of the room, mumbling something "best friend.."
Realization flushed over me, I realized that was the day Axel dissipeared..
"No- Stop! Axel- No! Don't leave!!.."
The scene stayed the same, there was a sudden crash and Axel was shoved back into, what seemed to be my old room. A shadow creature was standing there, holding him tightly by the arm. It was a tall, slim woman.
"Please- Mom- No, Mom please don't do this!! She doesn't deserve this! WE Don't deserve this!!" Young-Axel screamed.
The shadow creature grabbed young-me too. Young-Me yelled, trying to push out. The shadow creature stared at us both, and dissipeared, the room she was in collapsed.
I was now left standing in a ruined city, the room I was in was destroyed. I walked over to a picture I saw on the floor, it was framed in a wooden frame, it looked like it had been painted by hand. It was a picture of me, and Axel, smiling and laughing. I looked around the ruined city, falling to my knees and crying. I couldn't believe what had happened..
Axels voice then spoke
"Its the truth, Star... I... I only woke up a couple days before you did, but I had my memory. We were teleported 5 years ahead in the future.."
I listened carefully, wiping the tears from my face. I pushed over scraps of wood, looking for remaining pictures of my mom, or dad.. or any of the relatives I didn't know I had.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner.. I should've I know-"
I cut him off. Clenching my teeth, trying to fight back more tears.
"Atleast- you got to show me.. and atleast we're here together.."
It was silence, I sat in the ruined room, in awe, tears streaming down my face. I looked into the distance. Watching the moon rise on the horizen, rugged mountian tops making the straight horizen all bumpy..

I glanced around, my hand was getting sore from the sharp edges of the cube.
I turned slightly, the room.. if it even was a room, was sickening me.
The swirling colours and shapes were beautiful, in an odd way.
I heard an odd ringing noise. It echoed through my head. Sickening colours and shapes, and now this!?
Suddenly, there was a flash of black light.
Odd..
I thought to myself, hearing it echo.
Whaa!-
I was confused, I could hear my thoughts.
Where am I!?
I thought. Hoping someone, or something would answer. Nothing. - I tried to speak, but nothing happenend. I didn't like this place. It was Nothing. Just silence.Darkness..
After the weird, black light died down, a bright one lit up. I closed my eyes, trying to block it out. It would've blinded me if I didn't close my eyes... Oddly, I fell to the floor, passing out...

I woke up to a soft voice..
Axel's voice. "Be calm, Star.."
I pushed myself up into a sitting position, I was still holding the cube.
"C-can I let go..?" I could speak normal again.
"Yes, you can. Don't worry."
"A-Alright..." I let go, rubbing the palm of my hand. I glanced around. I was in some dimension, it wasn't a room. If I looked close enough I could go on for days. I could see faint pictures on the what-seemed-to-be-walls.
"It's like a dream.." I spoke softly..
"But its real." Axels voice spoke, finishing my sentance.
I stood. Turning around.
"I want to show you what really happened.. ." Axels voice spoke, softly.
I glanced around looking for him.
"I want to know what happened! I.." I spoke, worried. "Where are you..?!"
"Star, calm down..."
I stood still, still turning my head around a bit, trying to figure out what the pictures on the walls meant.
"I'll show you... I will show you Star. I'll show you the truth, I'll show you everything you don't know!.."

The clang of the swords and the scream echoed. The swords were.. somewhat a beautiful, like a metalic clang.
Like wind chimes clanging together in the wind. Or the most beautiful sound you could possibly hear, maybe even the stars singing.
A loud thump on the ground shook me out of my day-dream. I glanced up slightly, tilting my head a bit.
Blinding light suddenly flashed from the hallway, and Axel came running out.
"Star-" Axel spoke, his voice was serious, too serious it scared me. "Star, we don't have much time."
"I-I know Axel.. I-"
"Star. Come here. Stand beside me."
I walked over, my footsteps quiet. I stepped beside him, as he put his arm around my shoulders.
I glanced over slightly, confused "Axel, why are we doing this- what are we doing!? Why do I need to stand beside you- What is going on!?"
"Star, calm down. Too many questions asked in one sentance. Take a breath.." Axel laughed quietly. He then lowered his voice. To me it seemed like he was mumbling to himself. "Besides.. wouldn't you like to be beside me.."
I watched as Axel took out a small pouch, taking out an iridescent cube. I couldn't quite understand the beauty of this, it seemed to glow. If it did, though, it was too faint to see. Unless you stared at it, for a long, long time..
"Star,-" Axel took a deep breath. "Star, hold this. Hold it in the palm of your hand. Only let go when you hear my voice, ok?" Axel passed me the cube, it was amazingly light. I closed my eyes for a second, just to remember this amazing item. I held out my other hand, almost ready to place it in the palm.. "Axel- what will this do to me?.." I questioned him, still confused from my messed up life earlier on. The few hours I've been awake.. why was I .. sleeping? Why did I wake up there.
"Its a...magical item. Please trust me on this. Please.."
"I do, I trust you Axel." I had that same feeling, from before. Butterflies in my stomach. I let out a slight sigh, closing my eyes and placing the cube in my hand, then closing my hand around the cube. I felt the sharp corners cut against my skin.
I opened my eyes slightly, seeing odd colours, and shapes around me.
Where was I?!

I sat up, happy to see Axel was there.
He held a sword, pure and sharp.
I stood, looking aroud the room, now a mess of broken glass and other odd objects, continued by a couple hallways.
"Star, we need to get out of here! Now!!" Axel spoke.
From one of the hallways came a sound, It didn't sound like feet running, but I knew something was coming.
"H-How do I get out? I'm in a cage...?" I said, confused at the end. It was either a cage or a jail-cell.

"I know. Ok. I'll get you out... j-just, one second!" Axel said. Suddenly teleporting in, grabbing me. Well, more like hugging me. And teleporting back out, into the main room.
I was silent. He could TELEPORT!? I thought to myself.
The .. running sound got closer, I'm guessing the hallway was very, very long.
"Stay here Star, please. Its safer." Axel said, biting his lip a bit at the end.
I nodded, staying where he left me. I watched as he ran down the hall way.
I didn't hear the sound of metal clashing, but I heard voices.
Quiet, but clear.
"Brother, you have to stop. You- ah.. if you try to capture her, it'll be a mistake. The only person you need is.. Me." I heard, it was Axel. I could tell by the soft sound in his voice.
"Ahah, I know, Brother. But it doesn't matter. We got the both of you here now, double the power, double our strenght. Mother will be proud of what you became." This time, it was a sharper, voice. It sounded as if it could cut a sword in half.
I heard nothing but silence for a while.
Then, suddenly. The clashing of swords, and a scream of pain..

I started woke up, my vision blurry and faded around the edges. It seemed like a dream.
I heard someone talking, but I couldn't see them. They were talking about .. well, I can't recall what they were talking about.
Only a muffled voice in the distance. Then, again my vision went black.
It felt like only a moment before I woke up to someone yelling demands.
"whaa- !?"
I fell off whatever I was sleeping on, onto a hard, cold, stone floor. "ow-"
I sat up, rubbing my side. I looked up to see myself caged in some sort of cell, purple-blackish bars held me into this odd room, thnen I saw one of the shadow-creatures standing there, staring at me through the bars.
I stared at it in silence for a moment. Then, it disapeared. Thinking nothing of it, I stood up, brushing myself off.
I turned around to see what I was laying on, because I was too curious for my own good..
Behind me stood one of the shadow-creatures, but, it wasn't a 'creature' this time.
It was a tall, young man, about 19 or 20. He had long black robes on, fading into shadow at the bottom.
He had pale skin, and dark eyes. His hair seemd to be some sort of black, mixed with a dark-shiny blueish purple.
I stood there, in shock, for a couple of seconds before stumbing backwards.
He watched me, a slight glint in his eyes, and a smirk on his face.
Oh thats not good...
I thought as his hand moved down towards his side.
Oh- No, No, NO!
He grabbed a sword, pure darkness, and pointed it right at me.
I let out a terrified-three-year-old scream.
"Haha, don't scream. Weak one. It'll only waken the others, which.." - He laughed a bit. "will only create more chaos around you."
I sat on the floor, still staring at him. I tried turning my head away, to avoid his eyes, but I was locked on. It was scary.
Then, I heard some noise behind me, crashing and glass breaking.
I was too scared to see what it was, so I stayed where I was sitting.
As I did that, I watched the shadow-boy disapear as I saw a knife hit the wall, 'ting', it made an odd sound.
I turned my head, confused, looking through the bars, I saw him.
I saw Axel.

So. We're changing perspective to the boy and not Star - flip just realised I didn't say the Boys name. Dang.

I sat on my bed. Tapping on a desk I had beside it.
sitting there for atleast 5 minutes was boring. I started thinking about my past, how I met Star, and as soon as I saw her I felt something special. I remembered telling her I'd be back, then... -
Before I could finish thinking about my past I heard chaos in the main room.
I opened the door to see my half brother, Nizhalgal standing there, holding Star in his arms.
I saw about four more of his soldiers behind him, holding weapons made of rusty metal.
Nizhagal spoke before disapearing. "Goodbye, Axel." I was stunned. Watching all of them disspear.
Silence filled the room as I tried to figure out what to do next.

I sat there, stunned. I stared ahead, not bothering to move. The words inside my head echoed.
I blinked a couple of times before he spoke again.
"I'm sorry if that was too soon. I just never got the chance to tell you. I finally got it out."
He was silence for a moment, before standing and walking off, opening a door and entering the room. Then closing it behind him.
I sat there, disbelief washed over my face.
I didn't know he felt like that..
I thought in my head.
If ... If I did.. I would have asked him.... him to tell me before he went missing..
I sat there, silent. But to break the silence, I heard a sound.
I turned my gaze towards a darker area in the large room. Just to see figures in black robes, no, wait, figures in pure shadow, pure darkness. They were standing there, watching me. It seemed they had swords.
I tried to say something, but fear washed over me.
I started to stand slowly, hoping the.. creatures.. wouldn't care.
But, like any un-known creature, they did.
One of them ran at me, with un-humanly speed, so quickly I couldn't react.
Then I blacked out.

He stared at me in disbelief for a moment. His startled face then turned into a warm smile.
It triggered something inside me. I suddenly remembered everything. Everything was crystal clear.
I remembered his name, what happend to him 6 years ago, exactly what happend to him. Not just a blurry memory.
It was clear as ever. I could almost see everything in my mind.
He told me everything, where he went after he went missing. How it happend.
He told me he missed me. And he wished for 6 years that he could be with me.
As I listend to him. A tear ran down my cheek. Cold, and clear.
I told him everything I'd done in the last 6 years.
I was about to get up, but before I could
He grabbed my hand, pulled me down and whispered in my ear.. "I love you, Star."

I stared at him for a couple minutes, confused.
It has been about 6 years since he dissipeared. I remember the day, a blurry memory though.
He finally broke the silence between us both.
"Follow me."
He then walked out of the room.
I hurried after him before the door closed. And I entered the biggest, most beautiful room.
"whoa..." I said. Staring at the room in wonder. "What is this place?"
The boy laughed a bit, then answered. "My home.."
It wasn't possible, the beauty of this place. In a world like this..
An ugly, apocalypsed city.
After
a while of being there, I had a feeling, it is too hard to explain. But
I grabbed his hand without thinking. I looked at him, smiling.
I feel like that was the first time I smiled in a long time. His face showed it all.

I woke up, in a nice, warm bed, unsure of where I was. I looked up,
seeing a sky full of stars, galaxies, and one, large, blue moon.
Where am I!?
I thought. I was worried and lost.
I looked up once again, to see the star-filled sky. Not only that, but to realize the roof was made of glass.
"Hm.."
I sat up, checking the odd room I was in.
There was a window on the right, but the blinds were closed on it. On the left, I saw a door.
I
got off the bed, wrapping myself in the still-warm blankets, I walked
over to check out the window. But before I could even get near it, I
heard the door open, then a steady voice.
"Don't do that..!-"
It sent chills up my back to hear it. Someone I haven't heard in a long time..
I
turned my head to see a boy, maybe Sixteen or Seventeen. He had brown
hair, and amber eyes. He had a green-parka type jacket on, and grey-blue
ripped jeans.
I didn't say a thing, silence. I stood there, with a blanket still wrapped around me, thinking about the time we lost.
