The Clockworkers are lizard-like, with a cuckoo clock head and a pendulum tail. The door on their clock heads acts as both their eye and their mouth. Their pendulum tail is also razor-sharp and is often used when they feel threatened. They can even pull most of themselves into their head so that they look just like a cuckoo clock. They can also mount themselves on walls like this, fooling unsuspecting humans.

Clockworkers are the only member of the Regnum Messoris that is like a species (in that there is more than one of them). They all possess an eternal hunger for living or recently deceased beings. They feed by shooting out their long tongues, wrapping it around their victims, and shrinking them down to a size they can swallow.

Clockworkers are more or less the pets of the leader of the Regnum Messoris, the Static. He can communicate with them and they with him. In fact, the Static and the Clockworkers often work together to feed; since the Static has the power of suggestion, perception alterations, and minor spatial manipulation, while the Clockworkers possess rudimentary temporal manipulation.
