My Minedeas idea is an update or mod that would have more golems and some items that come along with them. The different golems would be ice, coal, diamond, and gold. All would be created using the iron golem formation for making iron golems, except for the ice golem, which would be created using the snow golem formation.

Each golem would have different abilities based on the block it was made out of. Coal golems would be weak, and have a small knockback. Coal golems, if set on fire, wouldno t go out, but would add the effect of Fire Aspect to all attacks. Iron golems would still be iron golems. Snow golems would still be snow golems. Gold golems would be weaker than iron golems, but stronger than coal golems. Gold golems would have a very strong upward knockback, and a slight horizontal knockback. Diamond golems would be very strong and have a huge upward and horizontal knockback. Ice golems would be very fast, vulnerable to fire and heat, and damage foes by ramming into them and knocking them back very far. Emerald golems would be as strong as iron golems but have more durability and would poison the target of their attacks. All golems would look like different versions of the iron golem, with the exception of the ice golem, which would look similar to the snow golem.

To activate each golem, you would need to craft a golem heart. Each golem would have a unique kind of heart. The recipe for the heart would be redstone in the center of a crafting table, surrounded by the type of material: gold ingots, diamonds, etc. Snow golems and ice golems would not require golem hearts for activation. You would activate the golem by right clicking it with the golem heart. You could also deactivate it by right clicking with a redstone torch, and this would bring the heart into your inventory. Now, you may be wondering, why go to all the trouble of making golem hearts? A special feature of the golem heart would be that it would be enchantable. You could give the golem any armor or weapon enchant. The armor enchant would modify the golemo s armor so that it would have that special ability. For example, a feather falling golem heart enchant would have the golem take less damage, or a fire resistance would protect it from fire. Weapon enchants would enhance the golemo s attack, so fire aspect would set the things it hit on fire. The golem heart could also get unbreaking, which would increase the golemo s health. The type of golem heart would depend for enchantability. In Vanilla Minecraft, a gold sword is more enchantable than a stone one. The golem heart type (coal, iron, gold, or diamond) would correspond to the Vanilla enchantablity. The coal heart would be the same enchantability as stone. Emerald golems would be as enchantable as gold because of the rarity of emeralds.

Golem drops would be the same as iron golems, except that the drop would be the base material instead of iron. Gold golems would drop dandelions instead of roses.

Finally, for creating coal golems using coal blocks, there would be an added coal block. These would be able to be crafted like any other ore block, with coal in each slot of a crafting table. The coal would have a burning capability of 10 coal in a furnace, so that it would actually be more efficient than putting 9 coal in a furnace. Coal could be set on fire, and have a burning time twice of that of wood. You would also be able to craft coal blocks out of charcoal, but not a combination of the two.

I think this mod or update would be an interesting and cool addition to Minecraft, as it would increase the versatility of golem making and add a twist to mob defense.
