Hello everyone! Arenten564 here. As you could probably tell, I abandoned the project I had said about before. L But thankfully, I was lying down awake last night, and I figured, why cano t I do tutorials? Io m pretty much a walking database of Minecraft and a couple other games, so why not? Anyways, as you could probably tell, this is about Combat. Now before we start, I should teach you the basics.
Swords
So as we all know, swords are the main combat tool in Minecraft. There are 5 types of swords:
Wooden Sword
Stone Sword
Iron Sword
Diamond Sword
Golden Sword
All of these do different amounts of damage, have different durabilities, and are overall more efficient. Now be careful: When I use the term o Health Pointso , a single Health Point is half a heart. Leto s get started.
Wooden Sword: 4 HP - 60 Durability (Easy to get, not very much worth it)
Stone Sword: 5 HP - 132 Durability (Easy to get, a little bit worth it)
Iron Sword: 6 HP - 251 Durability (Hard to get, not worth it)
Diamond Sword: 7 HP - 1526 Durability (Hard to get, definitely worth it)
Gold Sword: 4 HP - 33 Durability (Easy come, easy go)
As you can see, the most reliable weapon is definitely Diamond Sword. But at what expense?
Wooden Sword: 12-15 Kills
Stone Sword: 33-44 Kills
Iron Sword: 62-83 Kills
Diamond Sword: 520-781 Kills
Gold Sword: 6-8 Kills
When you think about it, because of the materials used, Iron Sword is probably the most efficient- if you're coming back home soon. But enough about swords, let's get where it get's complicated.
Bows
Alright, so the classic Bow & Arrow. Bows are quite simple themselves, but the interesting way that they are used makes them very viable in PvP and PvE. There are many glitches with Bows & Arrows, such as the bug where you can hit yourself with a Punch II Bow and push yourself across a ravine or something of the such. Anyways, here is a short cap of Bows.
Bow: Fully Charged: 9 HP - Rarely 10 - 385 Durability - 120 Block Range Maximum
Now, enchantments next.
Enchantments
Alright. Enchantments. Quick name reviews:
Swords
Sharpness I-V
Smite I-V
Bane of Arthropods I-V
Fire Aspect I-II
Knockback I-II
Looting I-III
Bows
Punch I-II

Infinity I
There we go. Now onto what they do.
Sharpness: 1-3 HP Bonus Damage per level
Smite: 1-4 HP Bonus Damage to Undead per level
Bane of Arthropods: 1-4 HP Bonus Damage to Spiders and Silverfish per level
Knockback: Knocks enemies farther back [Distance depends on level]
Fire Aspect: Catches enemies on fire [Duration depends on level]
Looting: More loot per mob
And, Bow enchants.
Power: Level I: 150% HP DMG. +25% per Level
Punch: Knocks enemies farther back [Distance depends on level]
Flame: Catches arrows on fire, setting entities on fire (Mobs, TNT)
Infinity: Unlimited arrows. Shot arrows are irretrievable.
Alright so that's been enough for one day I think. Have a good day.
Stay tuned! Next week will be Mobs!
