I stared at the book and couldn't believe what I was looking at. I found tickets to the Minecraftia Ball. Now, I'm no girly girl. But I wanted to go to the ball ever since I was little. I've heard rumors that if you were to see a creeper's eyes twinkle outside, you would find true love. Then again, I was all lovey dovey back then. I looked at the tickets closely and saw that they were for LAST year's ball. Great.
I dropped the tickets in shock when I heard the door slam. My parents were home.
"Hi Honey! We're home!", yelled Mom.
My Mom was the type of person who would kill you if you found something you aren't supposed to. Kind of like how I found my Christmas present 5 months before Christmas. It was a Crafty Laptop Model 56. The best kind. And of course, it went bye-bye. All I got that year was a coupon to KV Dimes.
"So what did you do while we were gone? Did the power go out?", asked Mom.
"Yeah, it did. You should tell Dad to get the freakin' electric wires fixed!"
"Watch your mouth missy!"
Oh! Did I mention if I say something stupid, like freakin', I get yelled at for cussing? Yeah...
"Look Mom, I'm going to Spring Park. I'll be back later."
"Alright. Just be home in time for dinner!"
She leaned over to try to hug me, but I ran. I was fed up with her. She's a girly mom. Yes. And my dad? He's the clumsiest person I know. I needed some time away from them. NOW.
