In Minecraft, there has almost always been paintings, since around the last days of alpha.

You could make your own by changing textures, but they just werent as, unique, plus you couldnt choose which one you wanted on the first try.

It would be awesome, if in vanilla Minecraft, you could paint your own paintings. You'd be able to chose the size, but it would take more materials for a bigger size. Also you'd need to create the 'Brush and Paints' to paint on your canvas.

The brush would be a stick and any wool, crafted in the psoition of shears or Flint and Steel.

The canvases would be crafted like normal paintings, only with a new block, Canvas wool. You'd make Canvas wool by refining normal wool. The original Canvas Painting would be 1x1 blocks, but you could upgrade it by putting the Canvas Painting in the crafting bench along with as much extra canvas wool as you please.

1 extra Canvas wool for a 2x2

2 extra Canvas wool for a 3x3

And so on...
