Hey guys im the owner of minefox hosting and i decided to make this thread to all the people who think being a server owner is easy and TIPs to being a good owner, SO lets get started.
One it takes dedication, (some times passion depends)
2. You have to work with all staff and even help players (unless you have no idea what your doing)
3. your players and staff aren't your toys, they are people that deserve respect.
4. Act professional not like a 12 year old or so
5.You have to deal with questions and arguments, also immature people
6 . Players dont come to a server by magic you have to put in your part and help advertise, unless you an pay people to advertise, help and do it yourself and help
7.Some times you cant give out all the items to players, because they love to ask for things, if you give them what they want all the time it ruins the game and the point(unless its creative lol and pointless if its survival)
8. You have to go through applications for staff or players if its white-listed server
9.Make sure everything is good between you and your host
10.make sure you add new plugins and remove unnecessary ones
11. meet with staff to discuss ways to attract more players and what plugins should and shouldnt be there
12.Listen to the players and their suggestions, this is really important.
13. You have to be ready for all kinds of situations from a player loseing their cookie to a hacker
AND last but not least, Have the time and be DEDICATED
