Anyways, brief recap on what happened last time:
I escaped and made it back to base.

Whitecreeper and I walked through the hallways to the throne room, loosely carrying the hastily drawn map.

"This is it? The one map we have to the-"

"My king! they are attacking! there's too many, we need help!" a slender man interrupted, racing up the steps to us in the throne room.

He wore a black suit with a white shirt underneath.

"This may be important, but how dare you talk over me? I can have your head for that, y'know!" the king told him.

"I am sorely tempted to slap you upside the head for that, and I don't care if you can execute me for that too, because we are UNDER ATTACK!!!!" The slender dude countered.

I was taken aback by this man's stupidity.

"Well.... I.... guess I could help," the king said, looking a bit frightened.

We followed him through a dark hallway and down the stairs to a hall with slits for windows.

As we passed I caught a glimpse of a battle raging, a couple of guards against an army the size of an entire city, slowly entering through the battered gates. I was just able to make out a dark shape looming in the distance.

I could hear an alarm bell go off, along with the shouts of guards on the towers and walkways lining the main building.

we slowly made our way through a few halls, rooms and secret entrances until we finally arrived at a huge chamber with beds, chest and an army of guards, all waiting for orders.

"My good people! It is time to do your duty! Protect the castle and take no prisoners! This is a fight to the death!" the king shouted.

The guards charged out into the grounds through a side door, whooping and yelling as they went.

When the room was nearly empty the king turned to whitecreeper and I and told us,
"If anything goes wrong then try to escape as soon as possible. Otherwise stay inside, and keep out of trouble! We're in real danger here, and if we lose who we're fighting for, then what use is this whole battle?"

Of course, whitecreeper and I weren't listening. We were running out to see what was going on.

A black mass of flashing steel met our eyes. Thousands of enemies had already got in, and as if that wasn't enough, all of our fighters were falling by the sword of a giant thing, which was conveniently crushing our walls underfoot.

A guard standing nearby whimpered in fear and ran for it. I could see that we would have to do the same thing eventually, if the tide of the battle didn't change.

Then I spotted Armando, cutting through the castle's elite fighters like a hot knife through butter.

And he was heading straight for us.

We knew my sword could turn his sword into ice with the slightest touch, but something was wrong. His new sword was much different, looking almost like solid gold.

The king roughly pulled us back inside, and together we went back to the throne room, which we barricaded with anything we could find that was heavy.

BOOM.

A huge explosion shook the building. Tiny cracks appeared in the ceiling and dust fell on us.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

Three more explosions. The castle shook like it was in an earthquake.

BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

The unexpected final blast blew the windows out and literally threw the barricades over our heads and into the ceiling, which cracked severely and then collapsed. I threw myself out the window and was caught be the force of the explosion, thrown upwards into the sky. Wreckage flew about like pieces of paper caught in the wind. I could see the crater left in place of the castle. Then a chair came up from below and hit me on the head with the force of a bull, and it went black.
