Fireplace unlocking door

Easy way to make an unlocking door by fireplace. The second photo is just an example of how it can be used in an adventure pack; light the fireplace which unlocks the door, move onto the next room.

Lighting the wool on fire will cause the wool to disappear, which completes the circuit opening the iron door.

Check top photo for layout.

Materials:
5 Blocks
1 Wool block
1 Redstone torch
3+ Redstone (depends how far you want your fireplace to be from the door)

now in 1.3.1 there was on way you could do this ithout have to burn the wool beacuse before arrows activated wooden presserplates if you shot and arrow at one and a particl fell on it it would make the redstone single go out but now arrows actived wooden presser plates but diamond and sub

Yes,There's also many other ways to open a door using redstone. Using fire to burn the wool isn't just for effect it's to help build story lines. Thanks.

Thanks, I've never really gave myself the chance to sit down and play with redstone. But after the tripwire update i decided why not. When i noticed blocks could break the current but not the circuit i immediately though what's the best way to destroy a block with style with out blowing everything up. The user could burn a block to get it to disappear and what better way to make user burn a block than make a fireplace out of it.
