Before we build too many buildings we need roads. Roads are simple to build if done now, however if we try to squeeze roads in later after the buildings are built it becomes much more difficult.

The fact that we don't have a lot of resources, and that we are building on a non-flat surface makes this a bit more difficult. However, even a simple road gives us the ability to place buildings without having to worry about moving them later.

Were going to start with roads being 5 deep. That should leave enough room for quite a few pipes/tubes/wires/whatever and still leave room to get around. Notice the stone brick road up top. While building the road I added an auto smelter (will share in a different post). That allows for a better staple building block.

The electrical wires are also something to note. The bat boxes are used to "seal" the under road space. This assures that every building gets it's own buffer of energy to run though. Again this building is the auto smelter. So it has a macerator and a electric furnace. Not high on the EU demand list but better safe then sorry.

Obviously, were going to need to "smooth" the road out a bit near the hills, but this makes for a good start. As new buildings are needed we can extend the road, add cross streets and go from there.
