There are a lot of different types of skins on PMC, which means many different styles of shading. Everyone has their preferred way to shade, and that's totally fine! Even if some people think they should change and don't like the style, they can shade however they want! Whether it's unshaded, shaded or overshaded, it all depends on the preferences of the skinner and his/her skinning ability. I know most of the criticism people hand out isn't intended to be hurtful or harsh, but the reality is, if someone doesn't want to change their technique, they're not going to. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but opinions are not meant to be forced upon someone.
Also, think of how many PMC members are hormonal teenagers! I know I'm one of them. Hormones make us say and do stupid things and react badly sometimes. You have to be careful about how you word your comments because the person on the receiving end may react badly, and they can't help it. So don't be upset whenever someone reacts badly to your suggestions.
