So after watching "Jurassic park" for the first time with a mate, my mate pointed out something very interesting to me.
He said that if "Jurassic park" was made in our times it would have been overloaded with gore.
I'm starting to think that we have become a bit desensitized to all this blood and guts business, the problem I personally have with this is doesn't it change the way we respond to violence and death?
I'm not saying if you watch one gory movie you turn into some sort of homicidal maniac.
No I'm more edging towards watch too many of these movies and have a sort of dark influence on the way you view everything!
Lets say if a movie like "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" was created in our time, They would have gone all out on the face melting nazi scene, the gore would have been incredible if it was created in our times!
I'm not saying gores bad or good, I'm just trying to say that a movies are getting gorier with time, and gore is becoming less of a shock and more of a thrilling experience.
But most people are seeing movies for nothing but the gore! It doesn't make sense at all, why see a gory movie if it doesn't have a decent storyline too explain why the bloody hell people are getting sliced and diced on screen!
My friend's reaction to "Piranha 3D" for example: "OMG THAT MOVIE HAS GORE LETS SEE THAT EVEN THOUGH IT HAS NO BLOODY GOOD PLOT AT ALL!"
And apparently it was a load of crap with a storyline that would make a kitten cry (In other words it absolutely sucked!), yes it was a remake of the original horror movie "Piranha" which was made in 1978 had an okaaaay storyline but with the Piranha 3D they used the exact same storyline again with a few location changes?
What do you guys think are movies getting more gory with time ?please comment and tell me what you think thanks, I you liked the blog give me a diamond and subscribe thanks a lot!
I'll be doing a weekly blog so stay tuned!
