hi, so i was looking around in my resouce pack that i was making and dicided to look at that lang file and see whats inside, i checked out th text program that was in it and started scrolling, found out that this is where everything is named and what not, as i was looking at the items i noticed something odd, there was an ore called ruby ore (tile.oreRuby.name=Ruby Ore) now im no expert on minecraft but i believe there is no such thing as Ruby ore in minecraft, so im guessing that this is something that was once in minecraft but was not removed entirely or its something that the guys back at mojang plan on doing, and it cant be redstone as thats already in the text (item.redstone.name=Redstone).


now im wondering if anyone else has noticed this or has an answer as to what this is.

Plus, emeralds were going to be rubys, they're even called rubies when you code with them

It's been in the game for a long time, the emerald texture really early on actually used the ruby texture as rubies seemed to be a complete feature but were removed for some reason

ah, then i guess either mojang has planse of returning it, or they are just lazy and havent bothered to remove it lol

microstoft may own minecraft, but mojang is still coding it and what not, microsoft justs owns the name more or less but does not do much of the coding if any, and emeralds where added during its early stages befor microstoft bught it, so that point dosnt realy count here, ive lookik in the items file and the quiver is there as well so its just mojang being lazy or keeping it for later

I don't think you guys realize, microsoft owns MOJANG itself, the emplyees are employed to microsoft, and code for microsoft now. $6,500,000,000 dollars spent on that company, mojang is definitely microsofts.
Furthermore, I said its not mojangs choice "anymore." And its more than owning the name, they own the company and everything- merch, any kind of sequel- theirs for the keeping.

While that may be true, Mojang is still free to update Minecraft whenever they want to, they don't need Microsoft's go-ahead. :P
