This is my opinion about why Herobrine exists. If you don't agree let me know what you think. If you want me to do more then give me something to think about and I'll probably spend a week or two trying to figure out something. Anyways have fun reading! I am going to tell you a tale. A tale of Herobrine, the Void, and the greatest mistake to be made in any universe of Minecraft. Herobrine wasno t always a god, though he was immortal. You may be confused by that but ito s true. Immortality doesno t mean you are a god, opinions of a god vary on the person and so it is hard to describe who is and who isno t a god. He was however a powerful person, equally as powerful as Notch. Notch however found a way to become the first god of Minecraft. He did many good things and all entities, even the single dragon that lived, considered him a good god and worshipped him greatly. Herobrine was too busy mining to notice any of this. Being extremely skilled with a pickaxe he was able to keep people supplied with minerals without any trouble. He had a name but it was forgotten. At the end of the tale you shall learn what it was as I have found out his name in that ancient time but I will not tell you how. The world only goes up so far and it only goes down so far. Going up leads to nothing but clouds and the world no longer existing. Going down lead to bedrock. Being indestructible Herobrine often spent days to see if it would show any signs of breaking. No signs were given until a day like any other. He was exploring a strange cave system and discovered an End portal. In that ancient forgotten time no one knew the End actually existed but they knew there was a third world. The End portal was built by Endermen themselves. It allowed them to travel between the End and our world. The main reason was to find a new place to live. Ah there I am getting sidetracked, sorry but anyways. Herobrine went through the portal and was in the End. The Endermen swarmed him but dared not to attack him. Fearing he would slay them all they simply gave him a strange tool. It was shaped like a pickaxe but it was made of a strange material. The Endermen, after many attempts, were able to explain that the materials was obsidian but it was infused with diamond. It was capable of destroying bedrock. After hearing this Herobrine left, after many thanks and goodbyes, and continued on exploring the cave system. After awhile he struck bedrock. Being curious about the pickaxe the endermen gave him he decided to see if it could. After a few swings the bedrock shattered in front of him and he saw nothing for awhile. He awoke to a strange sound. I cannot describe it with words but it was absolutely horrible. The sound had a rhythm to it however. The rhythm was one of war. Herobrine woke and found that the sound stopped. After putting another torch up he looked into the hole where the bedrock was. He could see nothing except a vast, empty darkness. But as he looked he saw two spots start to shimmer. More appeared and they all moved closer. Not knowing what to do he ran. Herobrine ran back to the main city and warned of the danger. People dismissed him as a crazy person. Notch, who often disguised himself as a normal player and walked around in the cities, overheard Herobrine and pulled him off to the side. o What happened?o o I found an End portal and went through to see if the rumours of a third world were true and they are. The residents there gave me a pickaxe made of obsidian infused with diamond. After going back through I explored more of the cave system the portal was in and came to bedrock. I decided to see if it really could destroy it. After a few swings it shattered and knocked me out for I know not how long. When I started to recover I heard a sound that no mortal being should ever hear and it was one of war. When I fully awoke it stopped. I looked into the hole that signified where the bedrock was and seen two spots shimmer. After a few minutes there were more and they were moving closer. Not knowing what to do I came here to try and warn the people but no one will listen to me, they think I am insane.o o Yes I know what you are talking about. That space is called the Void to the things you seen the eyes of. They are a horrible thing to ever see. They were sealed away when the world was formed by the bedrock. The inhabitants you met that gave you the pickaxe knew the dangers but feared you because they have never met your kind before. The fate of the world is now at hand. You are the only one who can save the world right now, That pick has another use. There is one thing in the eternal blackness. It is the source of those creatures. Take it out and they will never threaten the world again, however they will still exist and prey on any who find their way into that place. Now go and save the world and you will live in fame.o o Okay, thank you brother for the guidance and support.o Herobrine walked back to the cave system but as he did Notch was thinking about the fate he set upon his brother. This will be told at the right time in the tale that I think would fit. Herobrine retraced his steps throughout the cave system until he at last came to the hole in the bedrock. The creatures have been busy. A lot of the stone surrounding the hole was missing and a great blackness was seeping into the world. Tentatively Herobrine looked into the hole and saw a slight change in the deepness of the blackness. It was directly below him. Hoping none of the creatures would catch him as he fell towards it he jumped down. After what seemed like years he made it to the source of the creatures. He was severely wounded but he expected they would attack him. He was able to slay a few and force the rest to retreat a little ways. The source of the creatures was massive and its core was in the middle, as is to be expected. Herobrine mined as fast as he could but it wasn't fast enough to escape the pursuing creatures. One of them ripped the pick the endermen gave him out of his grasp and attempted to destroy it. It was unable to destroy it and so it dragged it out of the area so that all of the creatures could destroy it. Herobrine didn't need it anymore as it was. The core was pulsing in front of him. Having nothing but his hands Herobrine punched it with a great deal of strength. The entire place shook but the core still remained intact. Feeling a sense of failure, he turned around and seen a diamond pick laying on the ground just behind him. He picked it up and looked to his left and right. It was made of normal stone, the creatures were using the world to protect the core. He mined a little room around the core. He noticed that it was small, about the size of an ender crystal. After looking at it very closely he noticed that it wasno t just the source of the creatures. It shown him the past. His brother, Notch, was here and placed it here. Feeling betrayal Herobrine just stared at the core. After a few minutes it shown him a message that Notch put in case Herobrine ever found his way there. o Brother I am sorry that you had to be put in this situation. I put this place here to protect the world. When I found a way to become a true god I learned that in order for there to be a god there has to be something to counteract the god or the world will destroy itself. After that there can be more gods but until then any who try to become a god would be destroyed. Our family was destined to be immortal and in time gods but none could guess it would be us. Destroying this will destroy the entire world. However I have not made this an irreparable strike against the world. If you are to accept what I am about to tell you then the bedrock will be repaired and the world will be spared a great threat forever. You can become a god that protects the world. Any who threatens the safety of the world you will have to stop. These creatures only attacked you to teach you that you are already a very powerful being. Godlike to any others. They will obey your command to protect the world, they will replace anything they damaged. If you accept then pick a tool that you will use for the rest of eternity and jump into the core.o Herobrine was stunned by this. Not knowing what tool to use he heard a slight whine, as if a wolf was being hit. He turned and seen that the creatures had widened his tunnel so that five of them could look into the room. They had the pick the endermen gave him with them. This time it looked like a normal diamond pick. They have been waiting for this moment. Herobrine knew that he couldn't do it by himself even with these creatures to help him. Curiosity overwhelmed him as he asked the creatures o If I am to accept can I change you so that I can do what I am supposed to do?o The creatures replied in unison in a strange language that Herobrine never heard before but understood it clearly. o If you accept then we will become whatever you need us to be to protect the world. This isn't the evil to counteract Notch. If you wish to know the true evil we will tell you.o o What is the true evil then?o o It is the people of the world. They are powerful. They are capable of destroying the world.o
o Then I ask that you become a hidden thought of the people of the world so that only those that truly threaten the world will see me as a figment of their imagination, for I accept this duty.o He picked up the pick that was on the ground and dropped the other and leaped into the core.
