How I came to like Steven Universe... (Part 1!)

Once Upon a Time, when I was 12, I saw an Advertisement for Uncle Grandpa. I liked it because this cartoon got Cartoon Network out of it's Dark 2009 Period. I was actually quite hyped, even though I didn't know about the creator of Secret Mountain Fort Awesome getting a second chance. Eventually the Episodes came about, and they were decent, Probably because I had a 12 Year-Old Mindset and didn't know how bad Uncle Grandpa was. Soon, the Space Emperor Episode came out. When I saw just the title, I didn't know what to expect. I thought it was going to be an Episode of Uncle Grandpa with Lasers and whatnot and it would be fun. NOPE. What I sat through was the most scarring thing of my life. And no, I'm not going to be putting any images up for it, because I don't want myself to remember those memories (Note I did make someone on this one server watch it as his punishment, and he did say the kid looked like a Stereotypical Beach Boy)... I was soon going to give up hope, but Steven Universe came on, and I just HAD to watch it. I sat few a couple of episodes, it was not bad. But then that one episode With the Cat Fingers came on, I thought it was cute at 1st, but then it was yet ANOTHER scarring moment. It wasn't as Scarring as Space Emperor though... (Ugh...) I decided to lay off the Cartoon Network for a while, and then Clarence came on. I didn't know what to expect. A Character that looked like Steve from Minecraft made me want to watch it, but I had to hold it off, because it might have another scar moment (Turns out it didn't! ;3). Years Later, I was bored out of sheer convenience, and eventually, this Character named Ruby popped up outta nowhere!

How I came to like Steven Universe... (Part 1!)

I thought "Hmm... Ruby is my Birth Stone, So that means..." Yep. It had a pretty low chance to have a Bill Cipher Personality, Chill yet gets ragey. (Bill Cipher was that Character from Gravity Falls who looked like Illuminati and had a personality so chill, but make him mad, and BOY does he get mad!) That's actually me sometimes, but I'm more chill than ragey. She actually looked so amazing, yet she looks like something from other than Steven Universe, More like Clarence Perhaps. But I was wrong, COMPLETELY Wrong... She was Very Ragey and could never calm down unless she had Sapphire near her. I really wish she had a Bill Cipher Personality though... Imagine what Could Happen in that "Jail Break" Episode...
Steven: C'mon! I can Get You outta here!
Ruby: Nope. I got this! *punches wall* We're Saved!

Dang that would be the best! This also introduced me to Fusions, and I didn't like how Ruby and Sapphire made Garnet... I actually would've liked it if they formed Shenron from Dragon Ball Z...

How I came to like Steven Universe... (Part 1!)

JUST KIDDING! That would Be AWESOME though! Besides that, I'm warming up to Steven Universe due to all of the memes out there. I kinda hated Peridot, but then I found out she was really funny! I then saw an Uncle Grandpa + Steven Universe Crossover, and it was "meh" except for that one part were the Gems were stuck in the plot hole. That Part was HILARIOUS!! Pizza Steven Universe was funny too! xD And Oh My Gosh, Pearl Might be my 3rd Favorite Character now! :3 So yeah, When was your moment you gave up on a cartoon, but decided to like it again? Lol cartoon network has some of the weirdest freaking shows. The first time I watched clarence I thought it was so weird that I thought maybe that's the cause there is alot of immature children who watch it. Then there was uncle grandpa which was also weird for me too and I liked it but I lost interest in both uncle grandpa and cartoon network so I've never had the guts to watch anymore shows on cartoon network and I've decided to stick with netflix... :|

Yeah that's so true... My mom came in today saying "Go watch some TV!" and I said "Sorry, The shows on there are a bit too boring"... I think I made a clever decision. Everybody's either on their computer or Smartphone nowadays making TV useless. I'm not a fan of the smartphone trend, but you see what I mean. I'm actually one of those people who don't go onto Netflix or Amazon Prime because (1) there's a computer for that, and (2) Some of the shows on there are bootlegs, and heck, I can't watch Doctor Who on there (Since Netflix is Racist and hates British People for some reason, seriously! That's their reason!) making Netflix generally useless. So is Amazon Prime, It just seems like a rip-off to Netflix, and heck, Netflix is a Rip-off to Blockbuster/Hollywood Video (Well, you can argue that they did something original like watching videos without discs or anything, It's good on paper, but gets annoying fast)! Another reason why Blockbuster died off is due to Redbox, and most of the stuff on there is a Bootleg, it's so dumb! It also Spawned a REALLY bad meme like "Netflix and Chill", and it's as dumb as it sounds! I digress... But TV is just trying to reel you back in with a bunch of shows that are weird and such, hence Uncle Grandpa. The thing is, I only watch TV at the beach, so... The worst part is when I was searching the web, I found a video from Nickelodeon, where Grumpy Cat (Yes Grumpy Cat...) dances to "Cake by the Ocean". They're just trying to grab you with a bunch of trends... The thing is, Grumpy Cat DOESN'T dance. He hates everything, so why would he dance? It's completely out of character! But yeah, the Only two shows right now (besides Steven Universe) that are not abominations are "Star vs. The Forces of Evil" and "We Bare Bears". Why did they succeed? because they were original ideas, not thought up by trends (Except for "We Bare Bears", but it's like a Satire to it, so it's excused). So what's the Moral to all of this? Well, no matter how good the shows are, TV will most likely die. It pains me to say it, but thanks to the invention of the internet, I think TV was the Internet's Dad/Grandpa. TV got me through my struggles as a kid, but now it's lost it's charm. So I definitely agree with you. --Eli
