Honestly, I have no idea how much longer I will play minecraft. I imagine for a lot longer than 2 years, though. At times, Minecraft can become slow and boring, but becomes new and exciting after each new update. Im especially excited for 1.9, but Im also worried it may take away the simplicity of Minecraft that made me play it to begin with. When I first started playing Minecraft, Beta 1.2_01 had been out for a week. The appeal to this, weird game, to me was the simplicity and fun of the game. It was as simple as 1. Build House. 2. Find cool stuff in caves. 3. Build cooler crap out of crazy stuff. As the updates came, Minecraft slowly had new things added to it. One of my favorite updates was the wolves and the storms. Both of those made the game perfect for a while. As new things were added, I noticed that Minecraft is starting to lean towards a..er, Role Playing game, instead of the mindless kill zombies and protect your diamonds. I could never get into role playing games, such as Runescape, and probably never will. They literally bore me to tears. Im afraid that with 1.9, even with the cool potions and things, it may get to complicated for someone who just plays games for fun. I still am looking forward to 1.9, with all of the cool potions, mobs, etc. Its going to be HUGE. To sum it up, I see myself probably playing this game for at the most 2 more years forever and ever, despite the huge adjustments.
