Introduction
If you are one of the many players in Minecraft, being looked down by others with better weapons/armor than you? Well fear not, this guide will show you a COMPLETELY NEW skill you can learn, which tricks, annoys and scares your enemy enough that you can jump out at him and slice his throat, but first we need to know, what is an illusion?
Technically an illusion, is something that is either unreal or tricks the mind. If we look at it one way, Minecraft is actually an illusion, yes it exists, but not physically, and this is all you need to know to understand the ways of a Illusion Master/Assassin.
Currently Minecraft SMP PVP, has three aspects which help you survive/win a game.
PVP/Collecting Ores
Chance of Survival: 7/10
DIFFICULTY: 6/10
This PVP skill is most likely the most used in SMP, due to it having the most successful results. To do this, all you must acquire is some wood, ores and craft them all together into some armor and tools. This tactic, is very good, however can be extremely frustrating, if you loose all your items.
Defense/Builder
Chance of Survival: 4/10
DIFFICULTY: 3/10
Another skill is, building a base, and simply defending it. This is of course extremely easy, but lacks in results, with most players being killed/raided almost instantly with contact to another gamer.
Traps/Redstone
Chance of Survival 2/10
DIFFICULTY: 9/10
Yet another skill we face, most likely the worst tactic out there, redstone traps are VERY hard to make and dangerous unless you know what your doing, and also have poor results. With most Minecraft players, having the intelligence to check your floors for pressure plates, and stealing the TNT to use against you, you should only ever use this tactic as a last resort.
Each skill above, has it's pros and cons, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. But today we welcome a new skill into Minecraft SMP...
Illusion/Assassination
Chance of Survival: 9/10
DIFFICULTY: 1/10
This newly thought of idea, made by Minecraft player Netherrack. Takes into account all of the three skills above, and rams it into one blender, making an extremely poison smoothie. This skill's main point is "hiding." But this can be used to your advantage, by sneaking up onto your enemy and running a knife into his back. It's not just one, but has several tactics for fighting your enemy, hiding from your enemy or just plain messing with him.
This topic doesn't just explain to your the usefulness of this skill, but also TEACHES you it!
Before however that happens, you need to know where you are in this skill, you can find this out by referring to the Classes section below!
Classes
Below lists, how far you are into the Illusion/Assassination skill...
Illusion Apprentice
This class, just shows you've began to take on the skill of Illusion, and must have complete at least one of the tactics below, you have still got far to go.
Illusion Knight
Well done, you have progressed to the next level, but don't smile just yet, well maybe for a second, but ONLY a second......Done? Okay, this class shows you are dedicated to learning this skill, but understand you still have got a little way to go, you must have mastered at least 3 ways of illusion.
Wise Assassin
This class demonstrates your ability to use illusions to your advantage, this being your able to kill your victim by hiding/stalking/tormenting them. You must have mastered at least five of the skills below.
Master Assassin
Excellent! You have bent the ways of illusions, using them in any form you want, to hide/kill/annoy your greatest enemy! Mastering the most helpful skill in Minecraft. You must complete ALL the skills below for this rank.
Tactics
Below lists the ways of an illusionist, and how they can merely trick their enemy. The skills below are demonstrated in Dhju8's The Walls server, which you can find here: http://www.minecraft...mated-lag-free/
Chapter 1: Hidden Doorway
If your the victim of a high speed chase, running as fast as a sports car in a multi-player server, try this tactic, it's very easy and very helpful:
1. While running, try to find a randomly generated cave, or a hill side.
2. Make a 2x1 doorway in a wall, then put a random dirt block to the side of it.
3. Press and HOLD LShift, which is crouch, it makes your name tag invisible through a wall. MAKE SURE, to keep your finger on it.
4. Once your sure, your stalker is gone, take a short look around, then run in the opposite direction!

Because it looks suspicious, but with a dirt block in the side, it looks randomly generated.

Hole in the ground
Another great way to hide/escape a chase, is simple. Your escape is right below you...
1. Make a 3x1 hole in the ground, (it's good to carry a iron/diamond shovel with you.)
2. Place dirt/grass block above.
3. LShift once again, and wait it out!

Chapter 2. Treetop Stalker
So far we have covered, hiding beside and under the victim, now it's time to cover ABOVE him.
1. Get up onto an ordinary/birch/jungle tree whether it's by vines or building your way up.
2. Follow your victim by jumping tree to tree.
3. When he stops to look around, LShift once again, try to stay in the center too.

Chapter 3: When Whack A Mole Becomes Homicidal...
This skill is basically in the concept of "Hole in the Ground" except, if you have enough weapons and armor, you can follow/kill your victim!
1. Make a 3x1, 4x1 hole in the ground, whatever size you want.
2. Start digging a 1x2 corridor the direction of your victim. LShift if needed.
3. Once your enemy stops or enters his/her house, dig upwards, jump onto the surface and ATTACK!

Chapter 4: Look Up
Follows the same path of "Treetop Stalker" except in cities etc. This skill can be used to follow or hide from your victim.
1. Find a way up onto a roof or high wall, such as building vines, stairs or climbable decorations.
2. Jump up onto the highest point you can reach, whether this is the roof or a wall top.
3. You can either choose to continue hiding, shoot or jump down and attack your victim, we recommend SHOOT.

Chapter 5: Fake Cave
You could call this tactic an "upgrade" version of Hidden Doorway, except in this one you don't hide, you of course ATTACK! But not in a normal way, you can confuse your enemy, and like the title suggests, attack from behind. This is quite a hard skill, and does needed to be set up first e.g: You need to make the cave.
1. This tactic is EXTREMELY recommend for a Walls/2 map.
2. Make a normal size cave, with whatever junk you would like to put in there.
3. Build a FAKE spiral staircase, that looks like it goes down to a mine, but in truth actually just stops a few blocks down.
4. Lure your enemy into the cave you made.
5. Using the "Hidden Doorway" technique, LShift inside a hidden 1x2 doorway.
6. The average human mind, defaultly follows the first path it sees, thus being the fake spiral staircase.
7. Once your victim goes down your stairway you have about 10 seconds, to decide whether to run it, or lava bucket him, we recommend LAVA.
