Hey guys squirrelock11 here , and today I'm gonna give you a tutorial on how to make the popular reel and earn subscribers.

So first I'm gonna talk about skinning.
to get a skin on the popular reel requires skill so , practice makes perfect , as they say.
the first step I would advise is to go and take a look at a skinning tutorial (Dancingwalrus has a good one)
once you have looked at a skin tutorial practice the techniques they show you.
then make a skin you think is worth a diamond and not just this.
I think about 30% of skins posted will not even get a view because of the bad quality.
And 50% don't get downloads!
You and only you can change this, so putting more effort into your skins will have a better result...
Because of skins that don't get noticed, the first page moves fast, and that's annoying when good skinners want their skins to be on the first page for longer.
Bad quality = Clogged up Skin reel.
Also go out and have a look at the theme of the skins that make the popular reel, and If you find a theme of skin that you like , try to make a cool skin with that theme, but still, be original , you don't want to get a bunch of people saying "Hey, you copied XXXXX , I'm gonna report you" or stuff like that...
Do not use noise feature on some painting things, it wrecks your skin and it is NOT considered shading, go and learn to shade and get more notice.
Sometimes, if you have a theme that is Really popular, but original, you won't need to shade in order to get views.
With everything on pmc Good quality will get more notice.

Now on to texture packs
Texture packs require alot of work to complete but you don't have to post them when its complete.
I would advise doing about 40% of it and then posting it , at that point you have textured enough stuff to get it on the popular reel before your 3 days are up.
Basically , you have 2 days to get over ~1200 views before your time is up. after 3 days you won't be able to get on the popular reel.
You want to post something that you WOULD download.
Also pics are crucial, add a lot of pics of you using it.
for the featured image (the one that comes up when browsing) use a pic or image of the blocks and/or items , so when people are looking for a good one they will see your pack and see the items and/or blocks and think "ohh this looks interesting" and go and click it.
also add hints for feedback and maybe a diamond , but don't over do it , people may think you are begging for diamonds, have something simple like "If you enjoyed why not leave a diamond?" , not "Can you PLZ give me a diamond?"
Also the main rule applys : Good quality = Good Downloads
Not sure if there are many texture packing tutorials but shading is a must.
Also add a good description.

Alright , now Blogs
Blogging can seem easy and fun , but you want it to serve a purpose.
Good tutorials are a good way to get subscribers and views.
with tutorials don't add tutorials like "How to install toomanyitems" ect because there are lots of them and it will be spam.
Also good stories are one of my favorite kind of blog , I like ones that include pics and are easy to understand- I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys a good story.
Also the featured image should be something people will click on.
Remember : A helpful blog = A helpful handful of views!
Don't swear in blogs either.

Projects :
Firstly make something that you put a few days effort into not just something you rushed to upload..
I know it's tempting sometimes , but you should not do this! , first get it looking like everything you dreamed it would look like.
There are as you know , quite a few different types of project.
Redstone Contraptions - Again don't rush to upload them , make sure you didn't miss anything crucial like a 17 block long strand of redstone dust.... Make sure you test everything a lot before uploading it!
Architecture - Maybe go look at some building tutorial before you start. Also if you're building a big fortress/kingdom make sure you give yourself LOTS of room. This happened to me once, I was going to build a city, but I started with the walls, I put so much time into them, and I finally finished the walls, then when I went to build a 'Small' House it covered almost 10% of the land, and if this was going to be a city.....
so always give your self LOADS of room
Adventure Maps - well maybe start by asking people what they like to see in an adventure maps....
then make sure you include redstone , make some cool contraptions that do cool stuff....
