Hello there! Today I will be showing you how to make sure you get perfect colors when making skins. If this helped you, don't forget to Diamond and Favourite :)

If you want a simple explanation for this, it is a universal color dropper for your computer. Works on any program but unfortunately not Mac or Linux.

Let me give you an example in case you don't under stand. You are making a Link skin. You want to make sure his hair is exactly right like on the original Link character but you just can't seam to get it. Using the program Color Detector (Windows Only) you can find the color to the pixel. Let me demonstrate.

When you open Color Detector, you get a small window with a color block in the middle. When you move your mouse around, the color changes. The first picture is when my mouse is over the black text.

This second picture is when I move my mouse over the gray area.

When hovering over a color you would like to use in your skin, press F5 to stop the changing of the colors. It keeps the color and the Hex code on screen. If you press F6, it copies the Hex code to your clipboard as seen when I Ctrl+V into Notepad.

And if you press F7, it copies the RGB (Red Green Blue) code onto your clipboard as you see on my notepad.

If you use a Program like Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.NET or MCSkin 3D, you can almost always click the color picker and change the Hex code. This will help you make sure you have it already copied.

When I hover hover the head of my skin, I can see the exact color. I freeze it with F5 and copy it with F6.

and when I highlight the Hex code in the bottom left color selector, I get the exact color to edit for something else!

And that is my tutorial on how to make sure you get the correct color when making a skin (or doing anything else color related).
