This is how to install texture packs on mac.
1. Open your Library folder.
2. Click on Applications Support
3. Click on the minecraft folder
4. In there you will find a texture packs folder, simply drag the texture pack into there.
Make sure the texture pack file is unzipped and a folder.
Then enjoy the texture pack! :D
