Have you ever wondered how Vareide ever made his wonderful Survival Games 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5? Well I wondered that until recently. I did some poking around and found out that there are just a few simple steps to making a very satisfactory Hunger Games map.
1) Go to world painter and download world painter. This program is a very useful program which allows you to create the landscape and any thing you want in under 1 hour like normal minecraft mountain making.
2) Open Worldpainter and make a circle world that is 500 blocks wide by hitting the blank page in the top left corner. Create any world you want then hit the "export world to minecraft" key at the top left corner too.
3) Go into your world and create any cornucopia you want and 24 pedestals or tubes. Strategically place chests in your own traps and have different tier chests like tier 1, 2 & 3.
4) Get world edit or a world processor and create a //hshpere 500 glass (world edit). Take some pictures or screenshots and post it on your choice of a minecraft world download.
Tips
~place chests under 1 leave.
~have hidden chests (ex. under a lava pool).
~do stuff as realistic as possible.
~to make holes or a old broken down look use stairs and halfbricks.
It is that easy. You could be level 100 in 2 years like Vareide.

If you dont choose to fill chests and let a server do that then you dont really have a choice.
