For those of you who do not know how to make a texture pack...well.....read this tutorial, i have looked around PMC and i have not found a very good texture pack making tutorial! i bet there are some that i did not find, but anyways, just follow the steps below:

1.download a photo shop editor thingy sort of like Paint.net link: http://www.getpaint.net/
2.install it and open it
3.minimize it for now
4.open your .minecraft folder located it: C:Users<Computer User Name>AppDataRoaming.minecraft
5.look for the folder "items"
6.right click the "items" folder and click "copy"
7.go into Paint.net and paste the picture by clicking the clipboard button on the top of the screen
8.minimize the Paint.net program again
9.go into the bin folder
10.install 7zip or Winrar [i prefer 7zip] here is a link : 7zip: http://www.7-zip.org/ Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/
11.right click the Minecraft.jar file located in the bin located in .minecraft
12.click open with then select 7zip file manger
13.look for Terrain.png somewhere in the .jar [its not in a folder in the .jar]
14.copy that and paste in the Paint.net program
15.you can bacicly do this with the "mobs" folder and much more textures, such as the sun, moon ect. just look for their files in .minecraft and edit them!
16.remember to save all of the files into one folder! [you may name it whatever you want]
17.USING THE TEXTURE PACK:
as you all know [or should know] all you need to do in order to install a texture pack is to drag it into the texture packs folder located in the .minecraft folder
18.POSTING THE TEXTURE PACK:
just click post new texture pack in the texture pack area and make sure your texture pack is a zipped folder [just right click it and click "send to compressed zipped folder"] and then click it when you do "upload file" and add a description and a few pictures or videos and your all set to post it!
