Models are what make this game, and optimizing them can increase performance. Here are some tips to do that. Note: the program used in this guide is a free site called Blockbench.

Culfacng:
In short, the sides of some models can get completely covered by neighboring blocks. These sides become unrendered due to not being visible. Culfacing is what tells the game which sides should be unrendered.

To Enable Culfacing:
- Click the face that needs it.
- Right click the preview of the picture used.
- Select Culface
- Click Auto Culface

Remove Hidden Faces:
Sometimes models get a face that is at least partially hidden by other faces, but these are still rendered. They need to be deleted.
- Click the face that needs deleting.
- Right click the preview of the picture used.
- Select Texture
- Click Transparent
How to Optimize Models

Use Child Models:
Child models get the majority of their info from another model, known as a parent. This is has a variety of benefits.
- Lower data size.
- Changes to parent automatically affect child.
- No need to copy the parent model's data.

Child models can receive either texture or element, shapes, data from the parent.

To Create a Child Model.
- Create or open a model
- Click File
- Click Project
How to Optimize Models
- Type the path and name of the to-be parent model. (The path starts after the ".../models" folder)

Note:
The parent model does NOT need to be included in the pack. If the parent is in the Default or another, loaded pack, then the child should work perfectly.
