In this tutorial, I will first show you how to pose Minecraft skins and then put them on different backgrounds.
You're going to have to start by downloading a skin. If you have your own saved, you can use that, or download one from PMC by going to the skin's page and clicking the "download" button.
Next, go to http://www.minecraft-skin-viewer.net/ and click "I want to upload a skin directly" (Which is under the Minecraft Nickname box by the top). Find the skin you want to pose from your downloads. Double-click it.
Adjust the bars on the left side of the screen to however you want to pose the skin. Then click "3D-Skin Download" which is at the bottom of the screen. Once your skin downloads, click it (and it should open up in Windows Photo Viewer) and remember the series of numbers and letters at the top (or just enough to find the file later).
Now that you have a picture of the skin posed, I will explain how to put it on a background. You can use any version of Photoshop to do this, and it's not very complicated. If you don't have Photoshop, you can download a free trial here. I will be using Photoshop elements 8, which is not the newest version, so if my screen looks different than yours don't get confused because the tools for this exercise are in every version.
Start by opening up Photoshop. Click file>open and find the image of the posed skin from your downloads. you can scroll through your downloads to find it, or if you have hundreds of downloads (like me) it's much easier to just type in the name of the file. This is why it was important to remember the first few letters and numbers of it's name after you downloaded it. Next open up the background image you want to use the same way. You can just download an image from the internet to use.
Click the "quick select tool" out of the tools on the left. You can mouse over the tools near the top until you find it. On newer versions of Photoshop it might be under the "lasso" tool so find the "lasso" tool, right-click it, and click on the "quick select tool". Then click and drag across your skin image until it's fully selected. You should see what look like marching ants going around the skin image.
Next, click ctrl-c. Then X off of your skin image, leaving only your background image. Click ctrl-v. Your skin should appear on the background image. To re-size the skin, click ctrl-t, re-size it, and then either hit enter or click the check-mark (depending on the version of Photoshop) to finish re-sizing it.
After you have finished re-sizing the skin, right-click the skin layer (to the right of the screen) and click "merge visible". This will flatten your image. If you want to add any words or other effects you can do that and to save it click file>save as, give your image a name, and press OK.
Once you save your image you are done!
If you have any questions you can ask them below and if you want me to make another tutorial you can suggest it.
Please diamond and subscribe and have fun posing skins!♥
