CRAP! You just got up your mine and you see holes in your house! Everything in the chests are gone! You have been griefed! What do you do? Well, this tutorial should help.

CHESTS



On a SMP server, chests are hard to protect without a plugin that protects it. What you should do it hide it. not overground, but underground. Make sure that no one knows its there. It could spread and then get to a griefer. Another thing to do is make a "fake" chest, or a chest that contains a bunch of junk like dirt. The griefer will take it and assume it is all you have. Then, you can restock it with dirt.

HOUSES

It gets a bit more tricky now. The easiest solution is just to make your house underground, and a griefer can't grief it. But if you like your nice house, you can make some sort of trap. The best trap to kill the griefer is a tnt trap outside your house. That is also risky because your house can blow up.You could make a lava moat, but that really isnt so affective because the griefer can just go across it. You could also make a moat, and in front of it, have a tnt trap. That is very effective, and probably the best trap. Remember to set your home though! :)
