Ok When you make your skin, you need to go to effects > Noise > Add Noise
Turn Color Saturation Down to 0 and intensity ranging from 10 to about 30. You can go higher if you need. Keep Coverage at 100.00. BOOM you are done! Another good way is to get the base color of your character and turn transparency down really low and just draw randomly everywhere. The end! You can also try both!
Not 100% shading. Just makes it so it isn't the same color and boring.
